I just called to change a few ADR's and the very nice CM told me that Le Cellier's is not accepting reservations for my dates in Oct. She thinks they are doing "renovations" and told me Teppanyaki (sorry spelling!) will be closed also. I knew about Teppanyaki but has anyone heard about Le Cellier? I really wanted to try Le Cellier. :sad1:

Has anyone heard about this? :confused3

Any other recommendations in epcot??

Le Cellier is prolly just all booked up for October. Most of those reservations went a long time ago.

Wow! First I've heard of that! It would be really cool if they could expand it somehow to allow more people in or even spread the tables out a bit though I won't hold my breath!! Maybe they are just getting a bit of a reno to welcome in the new head chief.

Lucky for us, we are eating there Sept 22!!! YUMMMM!!!

I asked her if all the ressie were just full and she told me that was not the case she said there is a message coming up saying no more ressies are to be made due to closing.

oh well! I guess it is back to the drawing board!

I think they are just booked to be honest with you. I tried to get an ADR from anywhere between dec 10-20th this year and they are booked and the lady told me they were booked through the beginning of 2008.

I would be surprised if this was the case too if for nothing else but this would be during Food & Wine Fest. :confused3 I think they have special ticketed pairings there during F&WF.

Not to say the OP was mistaken. But certainly would be worth another call to verify. I too could see just no ADRs available. And not to say Le Cellier could not be closed for renovations.

I have a ressie at Le Cellier for the middle of October. The CM didn't say anything about a rennovation, only that the resturant books up fast.

That is wrong..I called this past Thursday and got a 5:20 dinner on 10/17. I gave the CM a list of 4 days that we could eat there, he checked them all and this was the only one open.

They may be sold out but I would call everyday because you may get lucky.

If I could not get in there I would have gone to Cape May Clambake, Coral Reef or Beirgarten. The CM said all these places had any time I wanted for any day I wanted.

I just called yesterday and was able to book it for lunch on Nov. 27. Maybe lunch is easier to get?

I wonder if the CM was confusing Le Cellier for the new name of the Italian restaurant replacing Alfreddo's.

Thanks everyone! I just called back and this CM told me it was booked. That makes me feel better, at least I know I may have a very very slight chance of getting a ressie.

This is what I get for planning a last minute vacation and not knowing what I am doing!! :confused3

I went to book ressies over a week ago and dinner was all booked up, but I was able to get a lunch reservation for Sunday, December 16th for my son's 18th bday!:goodvibes: I think they meant all booked up. I am sorry:guilty:

Le Cellier was just closed this past May for a short rehab, it's definitely just booked up. Hope you're able to find a cancelation!:)

This is very strange, but I have sent an email off to the person who does content for the Dis and is up on all the closings etc....once I hear back from her, I will post again..

I am suspicious and think it is just booked myself.. but we will get the word sometime today..

I asked the person that does the site content and she does not see anything about a LeCellier rehab....she thinks it is probably all booked for October.

I have a Dinner reservation at LeCellier on 10/12 and nobody has called me to reschedule or anything like that....but I know it's completely booked all 10 days I'm there....so that's probably why.

for other restuarants to try -

Norway - AKershus Royal Banquet,
france - love Bistro De Paris,
Great britian - rose and crown,
Epcot - Land - Garden Grill

Shhhhhh...the smart money knows that lunch there is (a) a better value than dinner (many of the same or very similar entrees at lower prices), (b) that due to the basement setting the atmosphere (dark and intimate) there's no real difference between daytime and evening dining and (c) that because Disney neophtyes all associate "seated nice meal" with dinner that competition for lunch seatings is inherently less than dinner.

And all of the above is why we will be enjoying lunch there in February.:thumbsup2
