Hi

I just made reservations for a variety of restaurants at WDW for our December trip and was told by the CM that Le Cellier has just in the last months or so reached the most popular restaurant at all of WDW. He said it used to be the castle but now it's Le Cellier. :cheer2: cudos to the Canadians at Epcot.

He suspected that soon reservations would need to be made with a credit card to secure them and I wonder if the dining plan will soon request 2 credits.

Also was told that the reason WDW has reservations at the castle secured with a credit card was that there were some people selling their reservation on ebay - so un -disneylike. :sad2:

We are very excited about our trip and I am glad I was able to make all our reservations at this time.

I'm not surprised about LeCellier - the DDP has made it very popular, even more than before.

And yeah, people were low enough to sell reservations at the castle on Ebay. Isn't that nuts?!

Le Cellier was by far the best meal we had at Disney in May. We were there for 5 nights. We liked some of the other restaturants but Le Cellier blew them all out of the water.

I was very nervous that it was being hyped up too much and that I would be disappointed but it lived up to its rep. Not sure if you booked it by your post but if so I hope your meal is as great!

If I recall Le Cellier was at one point a 2 TS, as early as spring of 05. IMO it is the best 1TS restaurant in WDW. I don't see going back to a 2TS soon, I think if anything they will tweak the menu items or add a surcharge like Planet Hollywood to it's DDP. I also believe the reason for its popularity is it servers, most of them are from the Great White North, never had bad service yet. It has come a long way from the that greasy spoon buffet, years ago.

It was by far one of my mum's and my favourite meals the last time we were there but I think if they switched it back to 2 credits, it would lose popularity. Fast. Just look at all the people on this board that don't want to do the castle anymore because it's 2 credits and people just don't feel like paying 2 credits for it. I know many people would still go even at 2 credits, but I think a lot of people would seriously reconsider booking it. I agree that they'll probably just add surcharges.

I remember, Threerivers that I read a long time ago in the Unofficial guide that LeCellier was one of the worst restaurants at WDW. Glad to see that it has completely turned around. We have an ADR there on Oct. 3.
