Le Cellier - I need to let it go!

I have been trying since we booked our trip to score a Le Cellier ADR. I haven't been successful. Now, we have our park days all worked out and we have good ADRs (my definition of good = right location and good food selection for my family; not necessarily most popular). I keep looking for that elusive Le Cellier ADR.

Tell me to STOP! If I found it now, I would have to rework our plan. If I lucked into it on our Epcot day, I would have to give up Via Napoli (or have 3 ADRs in one day which I think would be way too much food).

Now that I have said it out loud, maybe I will quit! :rotfl:

STOP IT!!!!

Via Napoli was great when we went there in October. Well worth it and you wont miss "the other place"

I hear ya. I've had to stop looking, too. It's like an addiction. We have everything planned out with all the things we want to do/try. My brother called & told me he had snagged LeCellier for the group one night but after much discussion we all decided we'd rather keep what we had at Mama Melrose so he cancelled it. Then a couple nights ago I was playing with the dining and Ohana popped up for our party of 6 at 5:30 on our Via Napoli night. I grabbed it then started looking where I could reschedule Via since we really wanted to try it. Problem was I couldn't find anything else I didn't want to do on our list enough to bump it. After more discussion I let go and cancelled Ohana. I think there are some meals that are such a habit and are so widely sought after it almost makes ya feel like you're a big weirdo for not taking the ADR & coveting it. I like to think we're deliberately thinking outside the ADR box this trip. I can honestly say we aren't using that as our mantra just because we couldn't get the popular ADRs because we had 'em but opted not to go with them. It's actually kinda liberating.... :thumbsup2

I hear you!! I have been trying every day for an early morning Ohana ressie for our departure day...oh well. We have Kona cafe booked.

Personally, I think you got the better ADR anyway. The food & coffee at Kona can't be beat. But if your heart is set on Ohana, don't give up! Like I said, I snagged Ohana for a 5:30 dinner for a party of 6 with only a few weeks to go. Keep trying....even stopping by the Ohana podium on your way to Kona on your departure day. You never know. I got my family of 5 into Chef Mickeys on a walk up in the morning during our January '09 trip.

I've been trying to find LeCellier, Chef Mickey or Cindy's the week of Nov 15-22, with no luck, either over the phone or online myself.

Here is how you solve it.....

Only look for a ressie on your Epcot day.

That way you still have a shot, that takes care of giving up completely. Yet you won't have to rework your plan then.

I cancelled a Lecellier for the 15 and 18 for lunch both for party of 4 and i also cancelled Park Fare ressie which has Cinderella for the 16th. party of 6 dinner at 7:25 Good Luck Canclled at around 12:00 central time.

I've been trying to hunt down an LC resv as well and it might just be me  but I stalk the Cancel board...and everytime I see a cancellation....I search that time frame or right away for the next 30 mins and NO Le Cellier ressie comes up for that time frame.

Is it just bad luck or do you guys' think that they hold on to LC slots for some weird reason...just a crazy thought. :confused3

We're going the week of Thanksgiving and I just snagged a lunch reservation for our party of five at Le Cellier a week ago Sunday. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited that I started screaming! We all love it and really wanted to go again. However, it DID cause me to scramble rearranging days, and, unfortunately giving up a Tutto Italia dinner that we all really wanted to try....

So, I guess I just wanted to say on one hand: don't give up hope, it CAN happen. And on the other hand: be happy with what you have and don't worry about having to rearrange your schedule. A PP poster had a really good idea of only searching on the day or days you're already going to Epcot.....

I would love to tell you to let it go, but there could still be a chance.
I'm one month out, and just got a Le Cellier ressie yesterday. 5:50 pm on my Epcot day -perfect!
I've subscribed to the Cancelled ADR thread, so I get the emails as soon as someone cancels. Someone posted this, and I was able to grab it.
I've also checked the online reservation system a couple times a day.

Also, someone a few months ago said that they were able to get in without an ADR. I know it's probably very rare there, but it's worth a try, right? People often make reservations, change their plans, and then just don't show up.

So I would say, plan on not getting it, but if you do, it will be a really exciting bonus.

Stop looking!

It's really not THAT great of a restaurant (in my opinion) and really isn't worth the hassle. Is it good? Yea... but not the be all end all of dining.

It's not going to make or break a vacation so don't keep freaking out about it. Relax... no matter if you have a reservation there or not, your trip will be wonderful and fun.

I Looked in the cancellation thread too and got a LeCellier 5 minutes after someone posted it. I have never been to Le Cellier and wanted to go before it turned to two so I did rework stuff around but luckily everything worked out for the better!!! Just keep checking the cancellation board but if you already have everything worked out then only look for times that would work for you

Let it go. Le Cellier is more hype than quality. Sure, you'd be able to say you've been and can have your opinion of the place formed on first hand experience, but in the grand scale of steak houses...Le Cellier is mediocre at best. It's hyped b/c for the menu price tag- it's a good deal on the DDP + it's small (AKA - cramped) so that adds to the difficulty getting in. While there are Shula's all over the country, if you want good steak, this is the best option at WDW. Otherwise, places like Jiko and Citrico's have highly regarded filets. There's also Yachtsman.

Take the WDW dining phone number with you and call each day of your trip and the morning of your EPCOT day and you might get lucky! I did in 2009! Hoping for some pixie dust for LC for my upcoming trip. I've been checking the website every day and stalking the cancellation board and I'm not giving up. I'm happy with my current ADRs so if I don't get LC, I won't be crushed but it sure would make my day! :wizard:

what are your dates? last night while looking for a better time for some adr's I already have I found 2 Le Celliers, I posted it on the Nov thread. I like to look around to get some better times since our park days changed the second set of adr's I made once my days changed still need tweaking so I search and search, give me your dates and if I can I will grab the adr and then pass it on to you. I've been pretty lucky, I've found 4 Le Cellier adr's in the past 3 weeks.
