So am I crazy to consider dinner at Le Cellier with three daughters, ages 2, 6 and 8?

We did Le Cellier with 2 daughters 2.5 and 6. It was absolutely great! Both girls really enjoyed the bread they bring out. (Pretzel, multigrain and sourdough). We even got some to go so they would have snacks in the park for later.

The place if fairly casual. There were tons of little kids in there when we ate. My only concern was that the tables are quite close together. It's kind of crowded in there.

Definitely give it a try. It was our favorite meal of 18 different ADR's on our trip back in December. Hope we can eat there multiple times on our next trip!

Enjoy your trip!!

We took our son to Le Cellier a few years ago (he was 3 at the time) and it was no problem at all. As a previous poster stated it's somewhat casual and there will be other children eating there as well.

As the above PP said, the tables are spaced very close together, which means it's difficult to navigate around high chairs.
But you will see kids of all ages enjoying their dinners. The desserts are great- the chocolate moose is photo-worthy and the s'mores are fun too. I remember when my DD was younger the server brought out her s'mores and said, "Do you know how to eat it?" She laughed and said no. He said, "Well, if you figure it out, let me know too!"

We've been taking our children since they were less than a year old. There are lots of children in the restaurant. However, there are no characters so it's less entertaining for them. But the food is good.

Le Cellier is in a theme park so you are going to find children of all ages in there. We've taken our kids since the oldest was in a backpack carrier. :) There are some tables towards the back and against a wall that have an almost booth type seating arrangement, those are great with kids.

We took our DD6 and DD8 this past December for the first time (in fact it was DH and I's first time as well) and they loved it (so did we). They loved the pretzel bread, the cheddar cheese soup, their entrees, and of course the dessert. My DD8 loves steak so she was very excited to see it on the children's menu, and my DD6 had the cheese pizza that she loved. They loved it so much that it was a request for our upcoming March trip because they want to have the soup again (they are in love with the cheese soup) plus they really want to try out the chocolate moose that I had for dessert :rotfl:, little did they know that I had already made ADRs for our trip :goodvibes

Thanks, all! I feel much better about taking them now.

No worries with kiddos. We have four and they fit right in - as they did in all of the places we went. I am sure that the fancy places it would be harder but most places are kid friendly, including Le Cellier. :) Good luck.

There will be plenty of other young children. You alone know your children's capacity to sit at a table for a meal. There will not be room in the restaurant for them to walk around, so if they're roamers you might have some problems with them getting in the way of the serving staff.

Do the main courses come with vegetables or sides? I only see potatoes ... Any idea?

They come with one item that is listed with the entree on the menu. These are generally potatoes or rice. Any other side dishes must be ordered separately.

We were there in Nov./Dec. and my daughter just turned one. The side dish of macaroni and cheese was awesome and my daughter loved it. It was enough to share

one of the most popular items on the menu is the canadian cheddar cheese soup for adults and kids (atleast my kiddo loves it). You can also find the recipe on many WDW sites and might be a good idea to make it at home and try it. We're taking our 5 year old and this will be our first dining spot so dont worry about taking kids... Its Disney :-D

i loved Le Cellier when i was younger! i usually got a small filet but i also loved the bread! one of the things i remember the most was our waiter. He was amazing and made the experience so much fun..i asked him for a shirley temple to drink and he came back with two drinks, one was an american shirley temple and the other was a canadian shirley temple (instead of sprite they use orange juice) it was a really great experience and we have gone to Le Cellier almost every trip since :)

I was there last year with my 3 boys, ages, 5-8-11. I was also there many moons ago with two of my boys and they were maybe 2 and 5. No problem at all.

I think it really depends on your children. Do you take them out to eat on a fairly regular basis? Are they well-behaved enough to sit there for a "formal" table service meal? Are they going to go crazy with minimal to do (no characters, not really much to look at)? Is your meal going to be ruined because you have to stop them from throwing bread?

If you think they're going to drive YOU (and other diners) crazy, then I would say, "no." If they're used to spending time sitting at a table and eating, then go for it. Le Cellier is my (and many others) favorite in the Parks and it's something that the adults will more than likely really enjoy.
