Does anyone know where I can find the recipe for this soup? I just put the ingredients in the bread machine for pretzel bread and I want to make the soup to go along with it so we can pretend we are in Disney! Thanks!

I have made this as well and the bacon just doesn't work for us. What am I doing wrong? It gets perfectly crisp, crumbles up and all, but then in the soup it is chewy!

we made it at home and It was great

Well, now. Several weeks ago, DW and I longed for some of this awesome soup, and followed the recipe linked above (which, if memory serves, was given by the executive chef at Le Cellier) TO THE LETTER, and... it just wasn't the same. Mainly, it was way too runny, not creamy like the real thing. Plus, we had issues, as did a previous poster, with the bacon being soggy.

Any advice from any certified culinary pros who've successfully cloned this at home?

Aside from the bacon though in ours, the soup was AWESOME, very thick, etc. Next time I think I am going to just sprinkle the bacon on the top to make it stay crisp!

That's what I would do to. Cook the bacon and then cook the soup in the same pot as the bacon cooked so the flavors blend. Take the bacon out and sprinkle on top

Just made it!!! It was soooo good, so was the pretzel bread. It was the perfect Disney fix. I have to say that it took me forever to make it though. I got the cheese it called for at Costco and it was really good, nice and creamy. Last time I made this I had trouble with the bacon too. So this time I cooked the bacon in butter and it was a lot better. Last time when I just cooked it (no butter, oil, etc) it was kind of strange/chewy, but it was much better this time. Just sprinkling on top would be good too. Thanks for the recipe!

I definitely have got to try that recipe! I love the cheese soup, I hope I don't mess it up....gotta go fire up the stove :thumbsup2
