Le Cellier - cheddar cheese soup

I would like to try the cheddar cheese soup, however I do not like the taste of beer. Anyone who has had the soup, can you tell me if there is a strong beer taste.

I've heard others say they could really taste the beer, but I also hate beer & I love the chedder cheese soup.

Hate beer, love the soup. In fact I am looking forward to the soup when we are at Epcot in December. It does have a "beer" flavor, but not too strong. Mostly you taste the cheese I think.

I also hate beer but love the soup and cannot taste it in the soup....we just had it on the 20th for our Anniversary dinner at Le Cellier!

I don't like beer all that much, but I love the soup. I can't really taste it, and I'm really good at picking up different flavors, and being able to tell what stuff is. Although I made the soup at home (following Le Cellier's recipe,) and that tasted of beer, LOL.

I couldn't "taste the beer" in the soup. I don't care for beer-but then again, I don't care for the cheese soup at Le Cellier either.

I hate beer...the taste and smell of it. I didn't detect any beer flavor whatsoever in the soup. I loved it!

I would have never known there was beer in the soup if I hadn't read it after I ate it.

I thought the beer taste was overpowering in the cheese soup. Of course, I only tried it once since I didn't like it ,so possibly it was just a bad day.

We ate at Le Cellier two weeks ago and I had the beef barley soup which was excellent.

I also do not care for beer, but the soup is marvelous. Would never know there was beer in it. Go for it!

Detest it.
The smell of it is nauseating.

But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the soup, it is sooooo good.

I say just get a bowl, if you don't like it then you are only out like 5 or 6 bucks and you know not to order it again!

I hated the soup, all I tasted was beer, I hate beer. Funny as a Canadian, I've never seen this on any menu in Canada
