This is a relative "last minute" trip...planned a month out. Le Cellier is, obviously, one of our favs. We call every day, but nothing has opened. Wondering if anyone has some recent experience with getting in...??? It will just be me and DH, so seating for 2. Opinions?

Le Cellier is a tough one to get, but for two I didn't think it would be impossible...???

My son and I did it in December. We got there when they opened and were the first ones in. They said that since it was during the time of year with Candlelight Processional, they would not be able to get us in. I asked if I could wait and they said that it would not help, to come back at around 12:00 and maybe. I decided to be a rebel and said we would just wait and see. We sat down and starting playing a game on my phone. I think they realized that we were not going any where and gave us one of the first tables of the day! Being stubborn can be helpful!

When I went in November I tried walking in. They told me they couldnt help me and if I wanted I could possibly wait to see if no one showed up for their reservation. My g/f wasn't in the mood to sit around, so we got smoked on Le Cellier.

Like an Previous Poster said, if you have the time to kill and want to wait, I THINK you may be able to get something. But it won't be a matter of just walking up and getting a table. That is impossible.

We walked up and got a table. September 2008 ,during free dining!! I don't know who my husband sweet talked, but we got in. We asked right when they opened for dinner. We had a party of 3. So it is possible, can't hurt to ask. We did eat there earlier in the week and saw them turn away many people though. The trick might be getting there early. Good luck.

We have gotten in for lunch by arriving at 11:15 and getting one of maybe four walk up group for that day. I remember one CM asking another if they were taking walk ins and the other said we may can take a few. by 11:25 (they opened at 11:30) I heard them say no more walkins.
