Le Cellier and side item?

Does your entree come with a side item? I noticed on the menu that it listed side items with prices. I am new to this so I am not sure what to think. Do you have to pay OOP for these items, such as cream cheese mashed potatoes? Or are they included in the dining plan? Sorry but I thought this was weird.

Every time I've gone to LeCellier, my meal has always come with some kind of potato (either mashed, roasted, or fries depending on what I order). I was there just a couple of weeks ago, and my filet mignon came with mashed potatoes.
