Le Cellier and Illuminations

I remember reading something about being able to get reservations around the same time that Illuminations is going on so we can sit outside and watch while we eat. Is it just a hit or miss thing of getting a outside seat at that time? Should I just not bother with trying?

There are no outside seats at Le Cellier, you must be thinking of the Rose and Crown.

You can request an outside seat, but there will be many parties also wanting the outdoor seats, so you may have a long wait or not get it at all. The best way is to get there very early, 30 or so minutes ahead of time, and ask then.
