I am among the many of you that only got a late ADR at Le Cellier. First it was 8:50 then I called 2 days later and I was able to get 8:10. I called yesterday just to check and see if something better opened up. The CM that I spoke with told me that in the 10 years she has worked for Disney there had never been a cancellation at Le Cellier. She also told me that I would be wasting my time if I keep calling.

Just because she has never had a cancellation does not mean they don't happen. I have cancelled mine there several times. Keep trying and if you get here or him again, try someone else.

Le Cellier hasn't been a steakhouse for 10 years, and it wasn't THAT popular until it became one credit on the dining plan. A couple of years ago, it was easy to get into. Anything could get cancelled - I've certainly cancelled reservations for Le Cellier in the past (one or two, anyway).

The CM doesn't know what she's talking about, it sounds like.

They release more times at later dates.

Thank you for the replies. I didn't think it would hurt to call once a week but she acted like I would be crazy to do so. I think I will just keep trying.

I would guess she doesn't want to spend the time helping you (they are very revenue based at DRC now). When I worked there, I even found cancellations occasionally for CRT - back when it was harder to get. Le Cellier may be the hardest no, but hasn't been for that long (a year or 18 months).

that's rediculous. Many of us here have cancelled ADR's there. I've cancelled one for my trip in Oct. And will be cancelling another once I pin down my schedule. And even more to the point. After not being able to secure a date and time we liked for my last trip, We asked the day we arrived at WDW and managed to get an early dinner ADR for a couple of day's later.

That isn't true. I have heard of may people to cancel keep trying and you'll have luck.

Nonsense. People cancel dinner plans at all the restaurants all the time. Plans change. Stuff happens. Before the free dining promotions, people were no-shows around 30% of the time in the off-season, and around 10% in the busiest seasons. (Now with free dining that happens less, but it still happens.)

Try back every once in a while, right up to the morning of your visit to Epcot. And even when you're there, you can try for a walk-up seating. You never know!

That said, if you don't get a seat there, don't let it bother you. It's just a restaurant. There are lots of places to eat.

David

I've cancelled here before -- over Xmas. We ended up not being anywhere near Epcot the night I had planned on dining here.

Sounds like that CM was just crabby and didn't want to hear any more people calling for LC ADR's and took it out on you. That doesn't make it the right thing to do, or the right information. I'm hanging on to my Le Cellier ADR, but I did cancel my CRT, for Labor Day no less. My family didn't like the looks of the menu, and frankly for 2 DDP credits, neither did I. The kids don't really care either, they've seen the princesses and the fairy godmother and the mice, and have a ton of princess wands.

Good luck getting the ADR you want!

Nonsense. I've cancelled several there. Just recently I cancelled one and have been trying to get it back ever since! I made the daily call to CRO this afternoon and while there was still nothing available, the CM said to keep trying, because people cancel all the time and most guests that keep checking back do end up getting the reservation they wanted.

Well, I know that's not true, because we personally have cancelled it twice. :rotfl: On our last trip, we cancelled that morning and then for this trip, we made our ADRs and then changed our dates, so we cancelled about 150 days out.

Nobody ever cancels there? How odd -- and misinformed. It is very popular but that doesn't mean that there are never any cancellations.

The CM was full of it. I managed to book Le Cellier last year during the free dining period, and I didn't even make my reservation till August. Obviously, someone canceled. I even called back later to see if there was a better time available--and exactly one more booking was free that day.

Hey, they had to cancel my reservation to make the new one, so technically, I canceled a Le Cellier ADR. ;)

Thank you everyone. I could hear some tone in her voice so I guess you all were right and she was having a bad day. I am still going to keep calling. I am not wanting an ADR during the dinner rush...I just want to have dinner and be done in plenty of time for Illuminations.
Thanks, again.

When we were there in May the CM told some hopeful diners that Le Cellier was the smallest restaurant with the lowest cancellation rate. That very trip I had cancelled. I had orignially planned to eat there with my brother on Sat but we could only get in at 8:10 so I cancelled that, we also had a 4:30 earlier in the week, but my brother and his girlfriend were only joining us for the weekend. They do offer a walk in - if you are there RIGHT AT OPENING for dinner and you must be there, they may take a few walk ins. That was what the CM kept tellingthe people that we heard.

I had it booked for three different nights for August and September. I cancelled all three a few days ago. So, yeah, basically she was full of crap.
