I have been searching through posts on pools. I see lots have a water slide, but I am still wondering if any of the resort pools offer a lazy river/tube float river?
thanks everyone

Stormalong Bay (SAB) has a lazy river....and sand on the bottom of parts of the pool....and a waterslide....and oh, so much more. This is the main pool for the Yacht Club, Beach Club and Beach Club Villas.

However, the lazy river at SAB is very short, only one quick loop and it is VERY deep (like 7-8 feet deep) with a rapid current. Nothing at all like TL or BB.

I'm glad to know it is so deep! I just changed our OKW at the end of the month to BCV partly because of SAB and the lazy river. DH & I are bringing our 2 grandkids, ages 4 & 6. I think 7 or 8 feet for a lazy river is a little much!

Obviously use your judgment but my sister and I did it with the kids in May. My DD is 11 but my niece and nephew are 2 & 5. We each had one with us, my niece was a lap child but my nephew had his own tube which we held (I brought them from the dollar store). We are both strong swimmers and were prepared to jump if need be. The kids loved it!!! JMHO

So you can bring your own tubes to use at SAB?:confused3

Deb & Bill -

Do you know the size of the tubes? I got some 36" tubes, but I blew one up and it seems to fit my son very well, but me....ummm...not so much. Are the ones for rent bigger? Thank you for your help.

I thought that the ones they rent are similar to the ones that you see at BB and TL, only clear.

I've never been to BB or TL. Going for the first time, though, this trip!:cool1: That's why I was inquiring about the size..DS tried his out today at our neighborhood pool and wanted me to push him around...I was thinking how wonderful it will be when the river actually pushes us around...I think he will love it...but I would like to save the money on the rentals and bring our own, but 36" was not good for me, and would be even worse for DH. I think I'll just have to look for bigger ones, I guess.
