Layout Challenge - Sept. 14 - Oct. 6! WINNER ANNOUNCED pg 3

Thanks :) I really enjoyed this layout, I had so much fun mixing & matching the circles after I cut them!

Unfortunately, I got a big fat 0 done this weekend. I was hoping to do some tonight, but some family issues are taking priority.

I do want to give everyone a heads up... I will be in the World from Sat-Thurs.

I will be back by the deadline, so no worries there. Work hard while I'm gone!!!

Have an awesome time! We don't leave till November 2 but I soooooo want to be there right now.

Here's mine. The circles were really fun!! (And I managed to find a picture that didn't require me to cut a face!)

I am adding this to my to do list. I have been working so much here lately that I have zero time to scrap. Plus, this is our busy time of year...festivals, soccer, the orchard...at least I am capturing lots of memories to scrap. Tonight it is off to the observatory to let Jacka get his first try at a telescope. Pray that the skies stay clear (and that I get some good pictures!)

Very nice!

Hey all! I'm back home from a great trip.

Glad to see we had another taker!!! Really like how it turned out! I'm ready to turn the contest over so I can scrap my trip! :rotfl:

Went to another crop this weekend and completed another 15 pages - woo hoo!! That means I did 35 pages in 2 weeks!! I am very proud!!

So, as far as the contest goes, I did several layouts that were similar to this challenge at the first crop, but I did not cut any photos. So, I was determined to cut photos at this crop and did it 3 times for 3 different layouts!! (Even my friend was amazed I was doing it as it is just soooo not me!)

Anyway, I will try to post some photos soon!! I just wanted to say thank you so much for "forcing" me to try something new!! I was stuck in a slump with my scrapping and feeling I was not getting anywhere, and a challenge is always just what I need!!

Talk to you soon (with photos),

Amy

PS I have 67 pages left for trip #1 and I am determined to complete them before trip #3!! I have them sketched out and the photos selected, so it is my goal that in the next 38 days I complete 67 pages!! Nothing like a challenge to kick me in the butt!!

Here is my entry:

The photo does not do it justice!! I have never spent that much time on a page doing all the hand-i-work. But, I cut a photo!! YEAH!!

And, I have a very simple blog that I am posting all of my pages on. Just sort of to show what I do, nothing special. Some of the photos need to be retaken, but you get the idea of my style.

I like it!!!

P.S. - I really like the pages on your blog!!!

mom2faith--I am in awe!!!!! That page is awesome :) How did you make the fans at the bottom? And oh my gracious, did you had cut all of the flowers? All I can say is WOW :)

No, the flowers are punches - and that was enough work!! LoL!!

For the fans I took 2 inch wide and about 11 inch long paper and folded it. Then I spread them out into 1/2 circles and glued the 2 edges to a strip of cardstock. I used a big glue dot in the middle to keep them from popping up. Then there are 1/2 circles above them (also secured with big glue dots) and a scallop-edged strip of the background paper. This helped keep them flat, so expect to layer if you do this.

Thank you very much. It is very different from what I normally do, but I really am trying to use things I have on hand instead of buying embellishments for every single page.
