Layout Challenge #19...take two! (I attempted to post this a few minutes ago only to find out that I was disconnected from the internet and had to start over! :headache:)

Anyway to the challenge...for this challenge I am going to attempt to keep it simple. Here lately I have been noticing that some of the best layouts have unstaged pictures and everyday happenings. (We sure have plenty of "everyday happenings" around here with our little man :scared:) So for this layout you must have a sequence of photos showing an event. (A minimum of 2 pictures please) Along with some journaling to detail what is happening or why this was worthy of scrapping. :yay: (It does not have to be Disney.) I will choose a winner in the evening of the 16th (it will be after 5pm).

I hope this is not too difficult! I will try and post my LO early to get the creative juices flowing. :goodvibes

Have a great weekend and Happy Mother's Day to all you Mommas out there! :flower3:

DS is in bed, so my brother was the designated drawer for this week's random draw. He was usure of what to do until I told him to just choose a slip of paper! :lmao:

The winner is...pixiedust: Princessnancy96 pixiedust:

Wonderful job to all of the posters! You did some great pages. :grouphug: Thanks for letting me be your hostess this week. I am looking forward to what Nancy comes up with for us next week!

This will be easy for me... as my kids have sporting events.. (an everyday occurance) and I take photos of everything!!!! LOL

Hope to have it up this weekend as I already have the photos in mind!!!!

Hey - look @ you! You've already got the new challenge started! :thumbsup2

Question: For the challenge, do you have to make a *new* page to fulfill the challenge guidelines? :confused3 I'm all new here. That last attempt was my first! And, now that I know what you WIN, I'm not really sure I want to "compete" :rotfl: I don't know that I could come up with a creative challenge --- much less pick a WINNER! :scared:

I'm sure the 2 of you are scrapping away ...... I did make a stop @ Michael's on the way home today :rolleyes1

All of the "rules" are really up to the host of that challenge. I generally say you have to start a new layout (or post something that we have not seen before) just to get motivated to get all this scrapping done! Sometimes there is a prize that you win at the end of the challenge (besides the honor of picking the next challenge).

I really hope you continue to participate...coming up with a challenge is not too bad. :thumbsup2

Jump right in!!! Don't let us scare you off! The only reason I have this one about done is I was already working on some of my DD's track events from the past 4 years. The set I did and one that she, my DD, did last week are a sequence of events where she was running her 2 mile event at her track meet this year. The one I'm going to submit this week is over her going over the 100 m hurdles her 8th grade year.. I have the before, the take off, over the hurdle and landing!

As for picking the winner... My kids do it by drawing a winner from the list of names in a jar. I can't just pick a winner as being best overall because each layout has WINNER written all over it!!!

Hope you will join us.. Ok, I'm a bad scrapper.. I came home, ate lunch and took a 2.5 hour nap today.:rolleyes1:sad2: 2.5 hours of valuable scrap time lost..and now where am I? Checking in here..

Off to the scrap room.. Got some photos in that I need to do for my DS8's Flat Stanley book.. He was at Pigeon Forge with StitchIsOurHero and family!!!

I guess I'm first. The event is my daughter's wedding and the lacing up of her wedding dress. While this is not an everyday event, it does illustrate a specific sequence. (If you don't think it fits the challenge, I won't be mad!) Actually, I forgot the everyday when I started to work on this - I only remembered the sequence of photos :)

Great LO Vanyel!!! OmG! That is adorable!!!

I've got mine done, one more still to do but in my mess of a room, I misplaced my dd's hurdle photos.. :( :faint:
DD even completed one.. I'll take photos and post later today!

Oh, Great LO! This is beautiful and it definately fits the challenge. Wonderful job. :goodvibes

I actually made this layout to qualify for both this and the other paper challenge - hope that's okay.

The pictures aren't great for this one, but I had to use them to show one of my kitty's favorite pasttimes - unravelling the roll of toilet paper.

Well, I wanted to have this layout done by now, but a power outage and a dull cricut blade has slowed me down! :guilty: I hope to post my LO tomorrow afternoon, but we will see. This is a backwards week so far! :upsidedow

So cute, and I loved the text!

Choo trains worked for me before, I think I'll try it again! ;) This is from last weekend's rail celebration in Roanoke VA.
It's kind of a stretch but the sequence is from me walking around looking for a good photo angle. :)

So I finally got around to scrapping again. I just happened to be up to these pictures of DS and our good friends' DD. They are 2 months apart and are just too cute together.

DS was pulling her hair as I was taking the pictures. Then BFF's DD got up and walked away. Smart girl!!

Finally I have a LO to post! :cool1: I am very pleased with how this one turned out. This my DS and his cousin Sydney. They are 5 months apart and think of themselves as siblings. These were some "outtakes" pictures that DH just happened to get when they were playing. I loved how they showed the action and captured the looks on their little faces. This is the first time I have ever printed text and glued it to a LO. I am hoping the glue bumps disappear when the glue dries. If not I might have re-do that part of the LO.

P.S. To Sydney's Mom if you see this...thanks for letting me post such fun pictures of Jack's sister! :flower3:

This was a two page layout, and the journal box was on the other page... it was also handwritten - we hadn't bought our color printer yet!!

DBF's favorite animal is a penguin, can you tell?
We were babysitting my brother and sister - I think my parents were in New York, but I don't remember. Anyway - we took them sledding, even though DBF didn't want to go. I think he ended up having more fun than all of us. :lmao:

Ok, here it is! I'm happy with it... I still need to do the one w/ her doing the 100m hurdles but I lost one of the photos in a stack of photos and keep getting side tracked with something else and than remember what I went down to begin with! DUH!

Here is DD at her track meet this year..
