Just wanted to report the awesome deal for airfare at least for  west coasters..

I had checked on airfare back in April and the fares for non-stop were about $300pp. Then something happened in the beginning of May where Virgin America pulled out (delayed til later this year) & United/Continental merged, The air fare jumped overnight from $300pp to $569pp. Then about 2 weeks ago it dropped to $469.40pp.

So this morning I received an email alert from farecompare....$251.40pp non-stop on United and AA!!! That's a huge drop.

:banana:In total I paid $754.20 for 3 people for non-stop from LAX to MCO .... yesterday I would have been $1408.20 for the same...

What are your dates? Fares are still high for mid-to-late September

eta - Interesting that delta.com and Travelocity *do* have the low fares, but Orbitz does not, as of the last time I checked.

Try your search on kayak.com. After you put your airport depart/destination and then your dates, but prior to searching a calendar will pop up with the daily best fare rates.

I just checked again and non-stop from Los Angeles to Orlando is avail thru most of July, almost all of August and then only about 10 dates in Sept and about 10 dates in Oct. :thumbsup2

My dates are for my next trip listed below in my signature.

Thank you for the info!!!

It is about $30 less per person but awesome times (really good compared to the crappy ones) and nonstop on Delta from LAX. I am about 10 minutes from John Wayne. Now to make a decision.

I guess I will have to discuss with Mom tonight!
