I see the Disneyland resort express get a lot of mentions but it also has some terrible reviews-

How does everyone without a car get from LAX to the DW hotels?

What's the cost usually?
Its a shared ride van which holds up to 9 people. I am a solo traveller and it cost me $17 one way. There is a 10% discount on the Anaheim Visitor website http://visitanaheim.org/deals/coupons which I used. I did two one way journeys and applied the discount on each journey. If you do a return journey the discount is only applied once

I've walked out and gotten in whatever van comes around first (not as bad as it sounds!). I've used Super Shuttle, Red something I think, and then there's another van service - something like Disneyland Express - similar enough to give the impression it's the Gray line service but it's not. They're all regular shared shuttles and you'll drive around the airport trying to fill up and then will have multiple stops.

I'm not real certain why the Gray line gets bad reviews but would guess that they all do. At least with it the first stops and last pickups are usually the Disney resorts and they don't circle and circle and circle the airport. I've used them too and I'd say they are my preferred although usually a little more expensive.

I also just prefer the larger bus in the LA traffic. It's more comfy than the shared vans.

I've done both Disneyland Express and Super Shuttle. Disneyland Express is more comfortable but Super Shuttle runs more often. My last trips we have rented a car so that we could make side trips.

We usually rent a car, but did the Karmel Shuttle for my parents and they had a great experience with that.
