I am travelling with my daughter(4) & myself to LAX airport. I've heard its a huge airport ( 8 terminals?) can anyone give me the description of what this airport is all about? I am travelling in & out of Terminal 2

I've been through there a couple times, once with an infant alone. It's not too bad, really decent signage. If you're staying in the same terminal you should be fine. Here's a link to their website, which is actually pretty helpful:

They have maps, etc. Good luck!

Terminal 2 is really small. 10x's smaller than Toronto. It is a seperate biulding. When you get off the plane it is a short walk to baggage and the bus for DL is right outside. On your return flight, baggage check is just inside the door and security is just down the hall. You will have no problems :thumbsup2
Just a side note, when you fly out of terminal 2...eat first before you go. It is very expensive and there is not much to choose from

Being the traveler into and out of LAX is simple.

Being the picker-upper or dropper-offer (omg help me with those words) is the complicated part!

Going to or from is easy. You are where you are, and you just need to find where your ride is. Then later, you go where you need to go; the one driving you has the hard job.

But YES, check out the website maps for food options in your terminal, and plan accordingly!

If you've flown out of Pearson in Toronto (I assume that's where you're coming from), then you'll be fine in LAX. In fact, the biggest challenge will be handled at Pearson--e.g. pre-clearing US Customs--so you won't have to deal with that at LAX.

I do agree wholeheartedly with bumbershoot. Flying in and out is straightforward. It's getting out of the airport (or getting there to be dropped off) that can be stressful. What kind of ground transportation are you using to get from LAX to the Disneyland Resort? Some of the signs for the ground transportation options can be confusing--i.e. do I wait under the green sign for "Buses and Long-Distance Vans" or under the orange sign for "Shared Ride Vans"? If you let us know what your ground transportation is, we can try to provide some more detailed tips.
