Our poor Bermuda lawn needs help this year. The drought has hit hard the past couple of years. This year, we're trying to encourage its health. We're planning on a Spring aeriation. Chris wants to get it sanded, too. Anyone have any experience with this? Had it done? Had it priced? We've had 2 estimates so far and one is nearly half of the other. Please share your experience, if you have any.

As I understand it, it's done to even out a lumpy lawn. Holes are filled in and the turf is smoothed over. Bermuda loves sandy soil, so it grows in well. It also promotes a healthier lawn. We just have 'pot holes' all over the yard.

Bermuda is obviously a warm weather grass. (Wishing I was in Bermuda right now!) We don't have that up here. I never heard of sanding either. I would think the best bet is to get an estimate from a couple of companies and take it from there.
