Is there any way you can get his high school friends (or even the school) to make a video for him? It would be really nice if his school put something together for him.

And I know you talked about sending cards and stuff. You might want to save some for a later time because he's going to be in the hospital for a long time. While it's nice to get a lot of cards, after a while a person can feel forgotten. So it's important that he gets on going positive vibes.

Oh goodness! I don't think I saw this thread until today, but I will certainly pray for his recovery. {{{HUGS}}} for Jorge and his whole family.

Jorge's high school started a website for him. It is called Jorge, Our hero. They can leave messages there on the guestbook, the teachers were the first ones to do this. A few of us from work also signed it. Laurie printed them out so he could see it. His school is really working with him, he graduates in May. He was a straight A student all this year, they say he will graduate. They are going to send him a tutor to catch up once he feels better. Luckily his friends stop by all the time so that helps him out. One of Jorge's nurses is a mother of one of the kids he pushed out of the way so he is well taken care of.

Nothing new right now, still in pain but he is hanging in there. He keeps feeling pains in that leg so that is a good sign I guess.
