Hope you had a great trip, and made some good buys at the Hallmark Store...we missed you..

Now you can let Ed know that he no longer can get at the edit button....:p

Thanks Donna! I missed you guys! Did Ed ever figure out that the red button I gave him wasn't plugged in?

It was an interesting trip to say the least. I bought a ton of stuff at the Double D - lots of Disney stuff too. Unfortunately most of it ended up broken after the TSA got a hold of my suitcase.

Here are a few highlights of my trip though :)

1. No matter where you are going you will end up in Atlanta. Doesn't matter if your ticket says Cincinnati. They will cancel the flight to be sure you end up in Atlanta.

2. "Al Italia" (Delta's sky partner and the flight I got stuck on from Atlanta to KC) in Italian really means "Really old plane being held together with duct tape"

3. You can recreate the Tower of Terror 24,000 feet over Virginia using an MD-88 and a bit of turbulence.

4. When they say "we are sending you on a trip" I really need to not take them so literally. 6:30 AM the first morning of the meetings I fell down the stairs from my bedroom (we were put in two bedroom apartments) spraining my ankle and bruising myself up pretty bad. See number 8

5. For some reason I am a natural born leader and found that I couldn't even go to the ladies room without telling 7-8 other managers to "sit, stay, I'll be right back". They also have no clue and will follow you 3 blocks through downtown in the snow walking 4 paces behind you in circles without asking why.

6. A text message from Jeff can make a manager that doesn't know him spit coke out their nose

7. Hallmark owns everything in Kansas City (at least it seems that way)

8. You know you work for a big company when they have their own mini hospital in the building just down the hall from their food court. (free health care.. gotta love that)

9. J.C. Hall and Walt Disney were good friends. What is interesting is how they met. - Walt Disney was the future Mrs. J.C. Hall's paperboy

10. J.C. Hall had Walt Disney help him design the 85 acre Crown Center after a terrible flood devestated Kansas City

11. The artist that created Maxine is just a crabby as Maxine and snubbed us

12. Security guards aren't too happy when they have to be called out because a wandering gang of 16 managers and one wayward trainer forgot what time it was and got locked in the Pershing Road building because they were "playing" in the Customer Support Center

13. Change your last name 3 times in one year and EVERYONE in Kansas City has to throw it in your face at least once.

14. KC weathermen or no better than Richmond ones and KC has no idea what to do with snow.

It is so good to be home

I'm so sorry you hurt your ankle...you of all people don't need any more pain. I do hope it is better.

On the description of Al Italia...I'm ROTFL, but I know it WASN'T funny when you were on that plane!!

Hope at least some of your treasures made it thru the security inspections..

Anyway, welcome home!

Ok Lauri, now spill the beans. Tell us about the new Ornaments. We all promise we won't tell anyone.....Peggie

A guy makes one nose hair comment and he is branded as a drug pusher. I just want the record to show I had nothing to do with doped up Hallmark managers snorting coke.

Lauri do you have any idea why the DEA and SprintPCS are calling me?

There can't be new ornaments, I have not paid off the ones from last year yet. The only gold crown I want to see is on my head at Burger King.

Jeff
