Lauren and Kevin's WDW Wedding June 2013

Welcome to my planing journal!! First a little background.

Disney has always been a part of my life. I started going in 1987 and never stopped. I did the Magic Music Days 3 times in HS and continued with many many trips later. I have even done 2 RunDisney events. So when I met my now soon to be hubby I suggested that we go to WDW for our first vaca while he was on leave (he's in the Navy). He survived and after he asked me to marry him I told him it had to be at WDW.

As of right now I have started all the leg work. The contract is signed and we are waiting to get our planner. I have since started working on all the little details. I am a planner and like to get things done early.

I can say for sure that we will be getting married at the WP, with a reception at Atlantic Dance Hall and DP in Italy. Its going to be a fun filled day and we can not wait!!

We know that what I want can be a bit pricey so I have been doing all that I can to save money. I have been using the best app ever to earn points for gift cards so I can get things for free and making what I can.

As I work on the wedding I will post photos and the like!

So when I tell people we are getting married they say oh so its going to be all Disney right? Nope, just the locations with a touch of Disney for me.

After much thinking, we are going to have a modern art-deco style. I love the clean lines and simplicity of the modern look and we will be partying it up at the Atlantic Dance Hall so theres the art-deco.

Colors were the easy part. He is US Navy so with his uniform, and he agreed to wear it, the main colors will be navy and white. The pop of colors are yellow and raspberry. I saw a spread in a magazine using raspberry and navy and knew that it was for me.


My sister created our logo using the colors and its so perfect!!

Once I get my post count higher I will add the pics of the colors. They look great together!!
