Laur’s and Andy’s Halloween Happiness Trip Day 16

Laur’s – 28
Andy – 29

Thursday 4 October 2007

Our last day. Our wake up call went off at 8.10 am, and for the first time this week it actually sounded like it was supposed to, typical. We were up at 8.30 am and Andy got us a smaller breakfast than usual as we had used up all our dining credits! I had froot loops and Andy had frosted flakes, we also had a banana, apple juice and hot chocolate.

We finished our packing, said goodbye to room 1234 and went off to Downtown Disney to check in our bulging bags. After checking in, we stopped off at the petrol station before carrying on to MGM as is our last morning tradition. We watched a bit of the High School Musical Pep Rally but didn't stay for it all as we hadn't seen the second movie at that point (something that probably should have remained that way, I didn't think it was a patch on the first one) and then went into the Art of Animation to look for Reme. We queued for a l-o-n-g time, but it was worth it because just before it was my turn, Emille came out too, so I had my picture with them both. They were cute and fun and seemed impressed with my Wildcats vest. On the way out we spotted Frozone with no line, so we got our picture with him too.

We were both really hungry by this point, so we went to Pizza Planet to get some lunch and shared a pepperoni pizza and garden salad with ranch dressing, and had a diet coke each. After lunch we saw the Little Mermaid show which we both adore (our prince and princess, remember!), rode Star Tours and watched Muppets 3D. We put off the inevitable a bit longer by stopping for a Mickey ice cream cookie, and to buy some sprite and nacho flavoured doritos for the airport before we finally left around 3 pm.

The journey to the airport was uneventful and we did the usual - drop off the car, hang around outside for as long as possible and then head through security. We went to the news stand for some water, chocolate and a paper for Andy, and then to duty free to get Andy some eye cream. We then went to the gate to eat our crisps and chocolate and wait for boarding.

The flight was on time and we had the usual welcome drink of orange for me and champagne for Andy, and then a diet coke for me and stella for Andy with sour cream and chive pretzels when we got up in the air. Tea was beef stew with potatoes, carrots and broccoli, salad, cheese and crackers, a warm bread roll, some weird cake that was supposed to be carrot cake but all I could taste was, guess what, cinnamon, a chocolate mint, white wine, water and tea. The flight home was a lot quicker. Andy watched Die Hard 4 and I watched Happy Never After several times as I kept falling asleep and waking up at different bits! We both slept quite a lot and when the duty free came round, Andy treated me to some Clinique skin care stuff for being so brave leaving Florida this time! Breakfast was fruit - melon, grapes and pineapple, a blueberry muffin, orange juice and tea. And then we were home!

We won't be able to go for MNSSHP next year due to Andy's work commitments (though he has promised me a candy trail round the house!) so we are planning on our next trip being in December 2008 to see the World decked out for Christmas.
