I found them last year at my local supermarket, Purex brand. Now they don't carry them. Any other places have them anymore?

Thanks! :sunny:

We searched ALL OVER for my sisters trip to Europe. We couldn't find any!!! :(

AuroraluvsPhillip ~

I saw them before at Shaw's...do you have one nearby? I actually drove by Shaw's today and though about going in to check for the Purex tablets, but it was too rainy. I think I'll stop in tomorrow and see and I'll post back to let you know.

I saw them several months ago at Ocean State Job Lot ~ Tide brand in a huge box for something like $8 or $9, but I'd be surprised if they were still there.

If they don't have them, I have seen a small bottle of liquid All detergent at Walgreens for $1.29 ~ enough for 6 loads of laundrey. Might be an alternative.

I was in my local Shaw's today...no luck. There is another one nearby, will try that tomorrow. I'll check out JobLot too...I know Walmart didn't have them last year. If no success, I'll just grab a small bottle of liquid when we do our grocery run at Disney.

I looked everywhere for them before our trip in January and couldn't find them. In the travel section at Target, they have small bottles of Tide for .99 that will do four loads.

Couldn't find the tablets either, so I'm going with the tiny Tide bottles from target too.

They also have small boxes of fabric softener sheets, for .99

darn...just got back from my local Shaw's and no Purex tablets. That's a good idea about just getting some down there. Didn't even think of that! We'll have a rental car and plan on stopping at a grocery store to pick up water, juice snacks etc. I guess I can add laundrey detergent to that list too!

I have seen them at WalMart in the trial size area. Like 4 for under a dollar. It's been a while since I've looked for them so I'm not sure if they still have them here but check in that spot too.

When we went last September, I had forgotten to look for the tablets, so I just divied up what I needed into ziplock bags (powder of course) and packed them in a larger gallon size bag. They packed lighter and were just fine.

Most of the supermarkets in Philly have several brands of tablets.
But that doesn't help you guys who don't live here.
Sorry

I got my at Superwalmart in the regular laundry detergent isle, but that was awhile ago. Love them though so I hope I can still find them. Used them last year when we were in Myrtle Beach and my husband washed all the brand new summer clothes without first checking the pockets. DD put crayons in her pockets after one of our dinners.....thanks for helping, but next time let me do the laundry. I do have to saw that the purex got most of the crayon marks out.

another idea is to go to a laundrymat and buy the small boxes ours are about .50 each. Last summer i found a box at BigLots.

And have been for quite some time. I loved these tabs, because I don't have laundry hook up at my apt and have to go to the laudnromat. I used them all the time, but stopped being able to find them about a year ago. What I do, because I hate lugging the big box of powder or jug of liquid, I put them in ziploc sandwich bags--one bag for each load, and I'm good to go.

This may be a good option packing wise to bring along to disney.

I also bought some of them last year in Myrtle Beach and I loved them so much. I had over a half of box left and when I ran out I went to our local grocery stores here and nobody has them. I WONDER WHY!!!

I am just gonna take a large freezer zip lock bag and scoop some powder in it and put the scoopy thing in there and take that I guess unless I can find something else. I am allergic to MOST detergents other than Purex!!!

I saw those things right after my husband and I got married at the laundry mat. We had not been married a week and ran out of clean clothes. Needless to say - our wash machine and dryer was still at the store! So I ran up to our local laundry mat to do a few loads. It was there where I first saw them. They only sold in the packs of the 2 tabs but they were there.
Try those, you have to get it out of a machine but for your trip it is worth it! :)

We too have been looking for the Purex tablets for our next trip. I asked at the Super Wal-Mart and was told that they could not get them anymore. We did a search on the internet figuring we would be able to order them from Purex directly...No luck, according to their web site, they no longer make them.. :confused3 I ended up buying the small bottle of tide also.

I emailed them a little while ago and was told they do not make them any longer. I did however get a few coupons sent to me for other products they make. I went to my Dollar Store and bought a few small bottles of detergent and they worked fine.

FYI, I was at our local Dollar Tree here in the Chicago area last night and saw they had the regular Purex (blue bottle) in small sizes (like the size of a shampoo bottle) that looked like it fit enough detergent for 3-4 washes at least.

My husband is a truck driver. He and I were talking and he said that they have something similar at the truck stops ( the ones that have laundry service.) It is not the Purex brand but it is great for packing for travel.

I found the two packs of Tide tablets at CVS this week. They used to be with the travel size stuff, but they were right next to the regular detergent. Warning, they were expensive, $1.99 a box (2 tablets). I probably should just buy a small bottle of detergent down there instead of lugging stuff from home, but I did buy them. FYI, I had checked Wal-Mart, Target and the dollar store with no luck.
