I found the ones on deck 7 to have hotter dryers. Go figure.

Also, if you bring your own detergeant, be sure to use only about a cup of it. The water in the front loaders is much less than top loaders.
 
BTW, there are detergents made (Tide and other brands) specifically for front-loading washers. Look for the symbol "HE" (for high-efficiency) on the box or bottle. These don't suds up as much as regular detergents (but they work perfectly fine).

Yes, for space reasons ( I assume) they are all front loaders.
 
Probably both for space (because they can be stacked) and for the fact that they use significantly less water. Our washer at home is front-loading because we bought it when we were in a house with a septic tank, and it was recommended to lighten the load on the septic system.
