I use Zout stain remover and swear by it. Most grocery, Wal-Mart and Target stores carry it. It'll take out stains that have gone through the dryer. Just let in work its magic for a few hours before you wash the pants.
be careful with the Zout...it can 'bleach' colors. Hairspray works really well. Put a paper towel behind te stain and keep spraying and bltting the stain. Then try a bit of laundry soap to cmpletely remove it. Keep alternating the hairspray with the laundry soap until completely gone before laundering.
Sometimes for really bad stains I use "Woolite Oxy-Deep Oxygen Activated Stain Remover". It is actually a carpet cleaner, but works on laundry too. So far it has worked on everything I've tried, but I haven't tried ink. Smells pretty good too, not that that is important in this case!
