Laundry question

Where is the laundry for the Beach Club Villas and the Animal Kingdom Villas, Jambo?

I know the laundry for Beach Club Villas is on the 4th floor close to the elevators. If you are facing the elevators, the laundry room is just to the right.

Our last stay at Beach Club Villas, we had a room across from the laundry room. It was as convenient as you can get for doing laundry when staying in a studio.

The laundry at Jambo House is a "secret"...
It's the first room on the hallway past the fireplace on the fifth floor. (Sorry, I am HORRIBLE with giving directions...someone who knows the names of all of the "trails" will chime in and do a better job)

It's not well-marked, and frankly, it needs to stay "hidden". I don't think you need anything more than a room "key" to access it, meaning anyone staying at AKL can use that laundry room. It *should* be for DVC members/guests only since the machines are FREE (i.e. paid for with member dues), but I don't know if there is anything that prevents any random guest from using it. There are only 2 washers and 4 dryers so it is not a big laundry room by any means. If you ask at the front desk, they may direct you to the "advertised" laundry room which is the one that is designated for the hotel guests. It's bigger and it is not free...and it's not on the 5th floor. I'm not sure where that one is....never needed it.

AKL Jambo: 5th floor on the right as you are 'entering' the Zebra trail. If you are on the 6th floor take the elevators to the 5th floor and turn right as you leave the elevator bank and it is on the right as you enter the Zebra trail (you can also take the 'secret' stairs from the lounge to the 5th floor but those directions are more complicated. I believe that the door is coded to only allow access to people staying on DVC reservations but I am not positive.

I was in a 2-bedroom at Jambo House, but I looked for the laundry room just so that I would know where it was. I couldn't find it. Definitely not well marked.

Our last stay at Beach Club Villas, we had a room across from the laundry room. It was as convenient as you can get for doing laundry when staying in a studio.

And it's a dedicated studio too. Love that room
