We've never used the washers and dryers in the loops before, but I'm not sure how much we'll be able to pack into our compact car, so we may be using them this time around.

Can anyone tell me how much they cost?

Washers are $2.00 per load. Dryers are also $2.00 per load. There are laundry products available for a price and a money changer to dispense quarters when you feed it $1 or $5. We recommend the Purex 3 in 1 laundry sheets which can be bought at any store and provide detergent and dryer sheet in one. A single box has maybe 20 sheets.

Also ice, which is available outside the CS's, is also $2.00 per bag, but remember two quarters go in each slot there, none in the outside slots. Ice is also available at both trading posts.

We went to the trading post and got a roll of quarters when we did laundry and you need them for Ice at the CS to. If you get your Ice at the trading you will pay $2.75 and not the $2.00 you pay at the CS

Thanks for the info!

Never knew about the price difference in the ice depending on location. That's weird. You'd think it'd be opposite considering you'd be (in theory) going out of your way to get the the trading post vs the CS.

bring your own laundry products. The Ice at the trading post is better ice it not the fluff ice you get at the CS it is soild ice that last longer

We had already thought about the Purex sheets (we use Purex at home, anyway). Thank you for the advice. :)

Ah..that explains the price difference in the ice. Knew that there had to be a catch.

We're FW camping newbies...it was mentioned that laundry facilities are available at each comfort station, so at every restroom in each loop? How many washers and dryers are at each one? Trying to plan for our 3 week trip that starts next week :cool1:

Yes all CS have laundry facilities bring your own laundry products.

Nobody ever mentions this, but you also have to bring your own laundry,,Disney doesn't provide that either.

we recently stayed in loop 300 and I think there were 4 or 5 washers and I think 8 dryers.

You should also note that the machines are pretty small!

I usually have to use two machines for every one I do at home! So you may want to add that into your budget. :laundy:

Have a great vacation!

I have actually found it better just not to do laundry. It does have it's positive sides, when you get in line at the parks folks seem to move away - plenty of space.

If it gets real bad we go for a swim at night with our clothes on

Dang. There goes the extra space in the trunk.

There's a thought. No need to worry about FP return times. Just don't do laundry.

Saves money and time. I'm all about saving. ;)

We were just there and stayed in the 1500 loop. Our comfort station had 4 washers, but I believe there were 6 or 8 dryers (stacked on top of each other) The laundry room is COLD! My DDs were helping me fold ond we had just come from the pool - do not recommend that. Dry off and change first!

Have fun! I am jealous! 2 weeks since we were there and I am still going through withdraw!

I just got back from visiting the TCD archives to look for some laundry room photos.

I found these, which are of the cabin laundry facilities:

Some shots of the building that houses the restrooms and laundry facilities:

The laundry facilities at the cabin pool are about twice the size as the facilities at the regular loop comfort stations. Here are some shots of the inside of the cabin laundry room:

And, check this out. If you want to bring a picnic lunch and make an afternoon out of it, feel free:

I love this sign.

In case you need to know in great detail what an average load of laundry consists of, here you go:

I would say that makes things pretty clear. But, what happens if you put in three pairs of jeans, and two sets of undergarments? How much money do you need then?

It amazes me that someone went to the trouble to engrave this sign. But someone did.

There are a few automobile parking spaces here at the laundry. They are right inside the 2500 loop:

So, if you are on one of the loops further away, then you can drive there, and park here.

This all is right next to the cabin pool. So, if you wanted to swim and sun and do laundry at the same time, here you go.

The washers and dryers in the camping loops are the same as the ones you see here, only there are not quite as many in the camping loops.

I don't think Disney allows laundering money on their premises. You might want to check first.:scared1:

I believe there are 5 washers (maybe 4)and I know there are 6 dryers at each CS. The laundry is located in the middle of the buiding with mens and womens areas on each end. I've only been going for twelve years and have never counted the washers..But DW tells me to pick up the laundry from the left end or the right end or top or bottom, etc, so I know about the dryers.
