Laundry Facilities at WLV...

are there separate laundry facilites at WLV? Thanks for any info.

I know there is a set to the left around the corner from the elevator on the first floor. 2 washers and 4 dryers plus the detergent machines. We got plenty of use out of them in early Feb. (2 little ones).

There will be a laundry "room" in all but a studio. For the people in a studio you will be able to use the laundry facilities that are free for use by everyone staying there. They are like a laundromat but on a much smaller scale. At BWV there are 6-8 dryers and 3 washing machines. You can buy single use boxes of laundry detergents, clorox 2, and fabric softners. They are $1.00 each. Most people bring detergents from home pre-measured in zip-lock baggies. You can also buy laundry stuff at the general store. There have been some nasty threads about the laundry facilities here, so fyi, people do not always respect others or play nice at the laundromat. I have started packing fewer clothes and washing while on vacation and my experience was ok except for the fact someone threw powdered soap or bleach into the dryer that I did not see and ruined some clothes.

We were at VWL for the first time last week....we were surprised at how few dryers and washers there were. There were four dryers and only one free washer. A second, larger washer seemed to suggest that it cost $2.00 to use. I could forsee it getting crowded in the laundry facility at peak times.

at any time at the VWL...trust me, we used them a half dozen times, each washer 3 times. They worked great for us.
