We are setting out on a 7 day cruise with a 4 year old and 2 9 month old twins, we will have laundry to do and wondered where to buy the laundrybags that you just throw into washer. Do thses exist. I thought we used them at camps and stuff so not to mix up everyones laundry.

Let me know

I would try linens and things or bed bath and beyond. I know they have the mesh laundry bags, and lengerie laundry bags. I have never heard of actually doing a load of laundry in them though..... just in the lengerie bags....

I found them at the dollar store the other day. I bought a big one and a three-pack of lingerie bags. I never thought of tossing in the whole large bag, either. Would the clothes get rinsed well and wouldn't they wrinkle more in the dryer?

Thanks for the info. I know nothing about laundry so your probably right, but I thought it might be good for some smaller things of the twins.

I will check it out.

Used to use these in the military, the one caution I have is that since items are somewhat "bunched up" in the bag, they don't dry as quickly, or when they do, everything can be really wrinkled......

Ah... I didn't think of that. I know many people are bringing the collapsable (spelling?) hamper. Did you find any of these at the dollar tree?

Just a reminder too...don't forget to bring your roll of quarters. Also, I looked for the Wisk tabs and I guess they don't sell it anymore. I bought some powder Tide and will put them into ziplock baggies.

I wrote the company and found out that they don't sell the Wisk tabs anymore. You can buy the single load boxes at laundromats, and even Target, or it would be even cheaper to just bag the correct amount for single loads (double bag so they don't bust and get all over your clothes).

be sure to throw in some dryer sheets also since they don't sell these on the ship.

Another place to look for the mesh laundry bags is in the camping supplies area at WalMart.

Another source for any and all organizer stuff is the Container Store website. Not the cheapest but I'm a sucker for their selection. Here's their mesh laundry bag. http://www.containerstore.com/brows...60096&CATID=77003&searchId=468027&itemIndex=1

One warning. The Container Store is habit forming! ::yes:: ::yes::

i'm kinda curious...you have 3 kids and don't know anything about laundry? I wish i was that lucky!!! :cool1:

Don't worry about doing laundry on the ship..just load it up in the ship laundry bag and send it out. It comes back the next afternoon fresh and clean, nicely pressed. The cost is minimal and you don't have to be standing in the steamy laundry room for hours taking away time from your family and your vacation.
