Has anyone been? What did you think of the food? I don't hear too many reviews of this place.

This is one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal! They have a stage show (dancers) while you eat and the food is very good! I find it to be a romantic fun setting. Its dark with candles on the tables. Very festive. Their chimmichurri skirt steak is the best! They have 2 specific appetizers coconut shrimp on a skewer and the calamari that I always have to have! They have an amazing dessert menu but I havent been able to get past the banana crepes or flan. I think they offer a very extensive menu and so far everything we have tried has been terrific!

Take a look! http://www.thelatinquarter.com/index.htm

Do you need PS for lunch 10/4? This would be the best Mexican at the park?

I really enjoy the Latin Quarter.
We have just walked in for lunch and it was pretty empty. We made reservations for dinner on the day we wanted to go. They have the BEST salsa and chips!! If you want something light (not really, it's pretty big), their Cuban sandwich is also very good.

Just have to put in my 2 cents ~ for what it's worth (which is about 2 cents !)
We are from South Florida which has a HUGE spanish/latin population. (I say this as a disclaimer, maybe with all the mexican/cuban resturants here we have been spoiled)
We did not find the food at the Latin Qurter to be traditional mexican/latin food. They had more "exotic" items on the menu & and a lot of stuff that I would not eat. Motherfletcher mentioned "mexican" - I don't think of this resturant as "mexican". Maybe the menu has changed, but there were no burritos, no enchaldas, no fajitas (SP?) which I consider to be mexican staples !
I would reccomend reviewing the menu before getting there & making sure its what you are looking for.

Thanks Seahag. My DW is a common sewer(spelling?) of Mexican food. She got hot when Carlos and Pepes in Ft. Lauderdale went to black beans instead of pinto beans. I know that Hard Rock has fajitas but they are nothing to write home about. Her home being Brownsville, Texas. Can someone recommend a good Mexican restuarant without having to go into Epcot?

Nuevo Latino cuisine. Latin entertainment eatery dedicated to the mission of being the embassy of all 21 Latin American Nations, cuisine, art and entertainment.

This is off the website as to how they describe themselves. I was curious too, wasnt really sure how to categorize it.

I agree that the food is not common but thats what I loved about it. You could get plain chicken or steak however if one didnt care for the menu.

Right in front of Latin Quarter they have a large glass display case with many of the entrees prepared. Thats what made us try it the first time.

Thanks for all the replies! I knew it wasn't mexican, so that is not what I am expecting. I think I might check it out.

Thanks again!

DW and I walked in for lunch back in Jun '01 and the place was empty. We wondered why no one was there while we ate, the food was wonderful. Had the restaurant to ourselves, maybe 2 other tables occupied. Chips and salsa are hard to beat, entrees had just the right amount of seasoning. Would try it again for sure!!
