Latest time for AK Safari?

Hours for AK are 7:30-8:00 on our scheduled day . I'd love to be there by 7 but I'm not sure if the rest of my family will be up. So, I thought maybe wait until the end of the day to do the tour/ride together. What time do they usually stop running the ride/tour? This will probably help with planning other rides for the day.

I was at AK on sunday and there was a sign outside the ride saying the safari closed at 7:15.

It's best to check the calendar close to your trip and while you're there. We were at AK in Feb. Park closed at 7PM but final safari was at 5:15 - which unfortunately we missed by 5 mins as I didn't guess they'd stop them that early before park closing. Lesson learned.

Late safaris aren't the best. The animals have a routine and at the end of the day, many of them are "over it" and walk back to their gates ready to go back into the barn and aren't very visible on stage.

Agree with Scrapping above. I missed it too by 15 min because there are times they close up shop early. Try to do earlier?

Thanks. Our first day is this Sunday, so that's good to know. I'll definitely double check hours in case they change it beforehand.

Have yet to do an evening Safari, but from everything I've read, the early morning hours are MUCH better than evening hours.
We have done several safaris at 9 an they have been amazing with all the animals active.

Agreed 100%. I went right at 8 am when the safari first opened and the animals were VERY active. We got awesome views of the giraffes, zebras, elephants and the lions were even walking around.
