Keith Prowse have some decent deals on the market already for 2006, which people might like to take a look at. Here's their latest press release:

INFLATION-BUSTING SAVINGS ON
2006 FLORIDA TICKETS AT 2005 PRICES

Long established market leader, Keith Prowse Attraction Tickets, has
frozen the prices of its top-selling Florida theme park tickets offering
holidaymakers the chance to book tickets for use during 2006 but at
2005 prices.

Examples of the 2005 prices from Keith Prowse Attraction Tickets are:
'Disney's Ultimate 14 Day Ticket', £183 for adults and £157 for
children aged between three and nine; 'The 4-Park Orlando FlexTicket', £108
for adults and £89 for children; SeaWorld and Busch Gardens 2-Park
Ticket, £57 for adults and £49 for children.

The 'inflation-busting' tickets are available to book now via the
website www.keithprowsetickets.com, by calling 08701 23 24 25 or through
local travel agents.

I find the extract "the chance to book tickets for use during 2006 but at
2005 prices" interesting.....

I had a thread on here asking about if there was such a thing as tickets that had to be used before a certain date......the above extract suggest that keith prowse sells specific 2006 tickets.... the general consensus on my thread a month or so ago was that there was no such thing.

I appreciate you letting us know Simon, however, Keith Prowse tickets are always the most expensive. I used attractionticketsdirect (as recommended in your book). I really shopped around and used attractionticketsdirect price match offer. Keith Prowse came out the most expensive for both the Ultimate and the 4 Park Flex Ticket out of about 10 internet companies.

As a travel agent I still never book through keith prowse as even after I've taken my commission off they're still more expensive than attraction tickets direct etc.
But having said that they are pretty reliable and a good source of info (although not as good as Simons book!)

I know Prowse don't seem to be very competative at the moment, but for those that collect "High Street Vouchers", Im sure I heard that you can now spend them at Keith Prowse's.

I have just had some of these but there was no mention of being able to spend them at Keith Prowse's website. The whole idea of them is you can spend them on the high street.

Some tickets are date specific - we had 10 day tickets one year (2002 or 2004 - I can't quite remember which! ) and they had to be activated by a certain date then used within 20 days from first use.

Check the small print before you purchase cheaper tickets in advance! :teeth:

I think you may be talking about different things - I agree 100% with what you've said Tink Too, we bought those tickets ourselves for our 2002 holiday. I think what Tron is saying though, is about buying tickets now that cannot yet be used (until 2006) but I don't interpret the press release that way. I read it as marketing speak ;) for buy tickets now and give us the cash flow benefit ;)

Yes i agre that Kiethprowse is expensive a i have been surfing the net for our 2006 trip and found other sites to be much cheaper.

Yet another company which don't appear to have any ABTA bodning or additional customer security. There seem to be quite a few of these in the last 6-12 months and my advice is to be wary. Very often, if an offer looks too good to be true, it IS. I would always advise people to stick with one of the ABTA-bonded companies in the UK; that way you KNOW your money is safe.

Thats not quite how I interpreted it..... I was pointing out that they seemed to distinguish between 2005 and 2006 tickets, in that they were selling 2006 tickets, but had not increased the prices from their 2005 levels.....which I assumed that their 2006 tickets had to actualy be used in 2006, and the same sort of restriction for their 2005 tickets.
The other way of interpreting this is "why not" just buy their current tickets now, which arent really dated, and just use them at a later date in 2006 (or I assume later if you wanted).

Im not exactly sure what they are meaning here.

AND.... I would say..... ALWAYS pay with your credit card if you want to be really safe.

Re Simon V's comments about ABTA bonding. This is not actually true. There are many many high profile travel companies that are not ABTA bonded (e.g. Ryanair) and this is due to the fact that ABTA was created predominently to protect people booking PACKAGE Holidays.

The main reason that it is important to book a holiday with an ABTA bonded agent is that there is often a few weeks / months which elapse from when you book and pay for your holiday, to the time you receive the service that you have paid for. It is during this time that you are most at risk as the holiday company you book with may have financial problems before you have returned from the holiday you have paid for. In this instance, ABTA steps in and re-accommodates you or reserves new flights for you through another ABTA bonded Company.

That said, ABTA's name has recently been dragged through the mud as one of their own senior employees was jailed for fraud!!!

When you book your attraction tickets, as long as you buy REAL tickets (which are the equivalent of cash) and NOT VOUCHERS, and that you insist on receiving them within a few days of purchase, this risk is eliminated.

One final point to note (as TRON <ADS> has correctly already pointed out) is the safest way to make any purchase is with a credit card as you will be fully insured by your provider and once in your possession, if your tickets are lost or stolen then you can claim through your travel insurance.

Hope that helps

Absolutely agree, as an ABTA agent I can safely say they are just a company set up for customers peace of mind, travel agents pay an enormous amount to belong and don't receive much in the way of benefits, more and more companies are leaving the scheme and in a few years you may be hard pushed to find an ABTA agent at all. your money is safe should the company go bust if they are covered by ABTA or ATOL or a number of other schemes. Although there are technicalities which mean clients booking seperate flight and package deals are most likely at risk as even tho the flights may be covered and the accom may be covered they may not be covered together! a bit complicated but there you go, I can vouch for the fact that after 9/11 and SARS etc there were very few clients who had their flights altered dramatically and took their complaints to ABTA got their issues resolved!
