later park hours at MK, do I swap my plans

So they extended MK hours until 11pm close the Saturday Jan 22 of my trip. Should I swap things around to be able to experience this late closing? CL reported a 6 on TP. we have AK planned in the morning and were going to Disney Springs evening for Raglan Road. But I am considering moving things around. Anyone been there late into January? I understand crowds are unpredictable but just wondering if anyone has thoughts?? thanks

What day were you planning to go to MK and would your traveling group want to stay until 11pm close? Looks like MK is all over the place with closing times next month. The 2 Saturdays before, it's open til 10, the Saturday after til 8. Can't imagine they'd keep open til 11 just to make up for the 4:30 closing on the 25th, but odd they would have such a late closing when park passes haven't even sold out. Usually the reason closing is pushed out later is due to expected high crowds.

If I knew everyone would want to stay til closing, I'd probably do it. A lot of people are going to be leaving the park after fireworks or shortly after so you could have some low crowd times in the final couple hours.

exactly what I am thinking. If crowds are expected maybe its to draw people away from HS? I have all adults/teens and easily would do late night. Could skip a full MK day and maybe hit a water park on Sunday instead.

my current plan is
Epcot 1/20 (Th) arrival day 1-9pm
HS 1/21 (Fri) G+ $LL, early entry-2ish, rest at BWI, MK fireworks
AK 1/22 (Sat) sleep in/ late entry, G+/ $LL 10a-3pm back to BWI rest and Disney Springs (would easily swap and do MK fireworks and maybe stay at HS all of Fri
MK 1/23 (Sun) evening dinner at Beaches and Cream (could do Disney Springs instead)
HS 1/24 morning and Lunch at Sci-Fi. departure 5:30pm

not sure but lower crowds at late park closing sounds too good to pass up

YES yes we do!! just have to figure out where to put Disney Springs and raglan road, maybe Friday night?
