Late start at volcano bay?

Thinking of heading to volcano bay on our arrival day but realistically won’t make it to the park until 11/12. If we plan to stay until closing time which is 9pm is it still worth going? We are thinking of a Friday at the end of June. Will we even be able to enter or is it likely the park will be at capacity?

It may be at capacity mid morning. But as people leave in the afternoon, they'll let you in. We actually like to come later on. A lot come first thing in the morning, but leave by mid-late afternoon. I find as the day goes on, the lines will be shorter. June will be HOT so it will be pleasant to be in the water in the evening!

It would depend on when people leave. I would just guess by about 3pm it would be open again if it does close to capacity. Maybe someone else who experienced this can chime in .

Hi Pattyw is correct it does depend when people leave. However, on our trip last Summer we saw by 4:00-5:00 it was becoming less crowded and people were getting in. Also, if there is an afternoon storm it clears out tremendously. We were there one day and about 2:30 this awful storm came in. About 3/4 of the park left. When it was done about 45 minutes later the place was empty the rest of the day and evening. Just something to think about.
We will be heading to VB one day late in July in the afternoon. We will be at Cabana Bay and I was planning on 4:00 a time to get in.
