My wife and I will not be able to arrive until after 11pm at night due to work and flight schedules. Are the rooms guaranteed for late arrivals? How does that work? Do we have to call POP ahead of time to let them know?
We arrived at 1 in the morning last time we went because of a several hour flight delay. I was worried there would be a problem, but I didn't have any trouble.
Hey, good thing about it--NO LINES!! They even bumped us up to a nicer room. We probalby looked pretty bad after all we had been through that night so I'm sure that helped a little!
I do have one suggestion-make sure you have eaten. We were quite hungry when we arrived and hadn't really thought about everything being closed. I think in the end we just decided to go to sleep and wait for breakfast, but that may not work for everyone. To be honest, I was surprised it worked for me.
Another thing is if you are using magical express, your luggage may come at a weird time. They asked us if it was ok first, but they brought ours at something like 4:00 in the morning. We didn't want to say no because we were afraid of what time it would arrive if we didn't take it when they were ready.
We stayed at an All star that time and I was overall very impressed with how they handled it.
Have fun!
As long as you paid for the night your arriving , why should there be a problem? Right? Its paid for, they are got there money, rooms yours , in it or not, right? And, if your worried about it, you can always call em and ask about it. 1-407-939-7675
This upcoming aug/sep we are going to arrive late too, some time between 11pm and 12ish. This will be our second time arriving late. Last time it was 12:30ish am.
lol, what happens at 6am? LOL, if you pay for a room, you get it at like 3-4pm to 11am the next day, how does 6am come into play? lol, where did you get that from? hahahahaha
It's standard in the hotel industry that a guaranteed room (one on which a one-night deposit, or in the case of a package the entire cost) has been paid, is held until 6 AM the next morning.
While hotels are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, from an accounting standpoint they simply CANNOT operate financially on this schedule. Every day has to be balanced every day - well, really, very early the next morning.
The hotel's accounting day starts around 6 AM and ends at the same time the next day. Once a day is 'closed' in the computer, cash registers, etc., a new day starts and even guaranteed reservations are wiped out.
If you are paid in full and you find out you will arrive a day late, call them and they will usually hold your room until you arrive. They might, if just the deposit is paid.
This happened to me once due to a snowstorm in NJ I didn't arrive for 30 hours later than I had planned. One phone call saved my room.

I hope you got a refund for that one night! This actually happened to one of my travelling parties (part of a magical gathering). Due to the airlines, they arrived a full 36 hours later than scheduled, and also had to overnight somewhere along the way. With proof from the airlines, WDW kindly reimbursed them for their first (and unused) night's stay. Now, that's magical!
