Late picking up car rental?

Has anyone ever been late picking up their car rental? Did it change your rate?

I have a 1 day rental at Budget from MCO to Port Canaveral picking up at 2pm Sat and returning at Noon the next day. My flight now is coming in at 5pm but if I try to change that on my reservation my rate goes up.

So I'm thinking of just leaving it alone and showing up at 5pm. What are the repercussions? Thanks in advance

Why don't you call them and ask? Last summer, we had a rental with National and missed our connecting flight Thurs evening, so didn't pick up until Friday morning. I called National and they noted it in the system. I still paid the same amount (it didn't change our number of full days.)

I don't believe you'll have a problem. If you RETURN the car late, then you get penalized. I think calling and advising them that your flight is now later would probably ease your mind.
