So far, have been unsuccessful in getting our A&E FP. We'll be getting in late our first night, but thinking we could pop over for a while after our 8PM ADR to try and see A&E (and get it out of the way so I'm not checking for FPs our whole trip). Hoping the late night will deter some crowd. Our kids will have slept a lot of the drive down, so they should be good. If they close at 11 that night, what is the latest we could get in line and not be "cut off" because it's too late to queue?

The line for A&E closes a half hour before park close. You will get to meet them if you are in line before they block it off.

In early June, the park closed at midnight. Just before 11:30 pm, the posted wait time was 90 minutes but the actual wait was only 10.

I think you have a good strategy. Get in line at the absolute latest possible time. Hopefully, most of the youngsters are already in bed.
