So, we were planning to do 1.5 days at Ak and 2 days at hs. I thought it would be best to do ak on a Thursday and hs on Friday assuming Thursday would have lower crowds.

now that we are staying Deluxe we are Looking at apossibleblate night at mk wed. I am considering swapping the two dates around (would lose a few non critical adr, but would still not really want to lose them). And this allow us to go to the parks a bit later for the second day at hs given that Ak opens and closes so much earlier. Any reason to think Friday would be substantially more busy at AK than on a Thursday or am I overthinking this?

The crowd differences shouldn’t be too different from Thursday to Friday, though the 50th anniversary celebrations have allowed more people to enter the parks. Either way, I’d expect it to be moderately busy.
