We've never been to 'Ohana and my daughter's graduation trip is at the end of this month. I woke up 45 minutes too late on the reservation opening day and ended up with a 9:45pm slot. I'll keep checking to move it up but I'm not very hopeful at this point.

I was going to cancel it, but she found out about it and really wants to try it. The following day we have a park reservation at Epcot so we were planning on sleeping in anyway (we're not going to rope drop Epcot this time).

Could anyone share some input on this ridiculously late dining time? Will it still be enjoyable? Would we be able to see fireworks from the Poly while we wait to check in... Or maybe the water pageant (we've never seen it)?

TIA for your helpful input! 😊

We had a 9:45 reservation at Ohana a few years ago and loved it. The restaurant emptied out gradually while we ate so by the end of our meal it was reasonably quiet. The view from the beach of and over Seven Seas Lagoon is somewhat restricted because of the bungalows, but if you don't mind a short walk, the fireworks view from the TTC ferryboat dock is pretty good and they pipe in the audio. Sorry I don't know what time the Water Pageant preforms at the Poly, but if you get a chance to see it, it's cute (but short).

I would also make sure to check out the new menu for O'hana on the Disney website. Then you can avoid surprises in the changes they have made and/or if those are things you would enjoy. Due to covid, they no longer serve those skewers like they used to in the past.

Once we had a late reservation and the meal was fine and nicely quieter. There were two children in our party. Think they were in the 7 to 10 age range then and when the cocoanut game began they befriended a frankfurter eating four y/o and guided her through the playtime. There were other kids there but some how I remember best the frank eater, LOL. Great views of the lake even though we were three or four rows away from the window.

Go and I’m sure you will still enjoy the experience.

Does anyone know if Ohana's is actually going to be open for dinner? The only times I ever see even early in the morning are till 11:55. Are they only doing breakfast for the time being after they reopen?

Disney website shows it reopens on July 9 for both breakfast & dinner. Perhaps the date/times you tried are already booked?

Yes dinners booked up fast! I have been searching also nothing available for dinner.

I was able to get 7:40pm on our last night which is nice because my oldest daughter and I might do the Boo Bash so we can hang out in MK with low waits for rides! Starts at 9:30pm.

I have had 3 late night dinners at 'Ohana. Two were fantabulous and one was utterly horrible (but that one was at the corner table with the best fireworks view in the house). Our drinks sat empty for 13 minutes with nothing to drink ( party of 8 ), our server was no where to be found for anything - bringing food, refills, getting our check - nothing. I walked away in disbelief that a meal that bad cost $580 - yep, that waiter still got his guaranteed 20% even though we had next to zero service.

We had that at Chef Mickey's a few years ago. So frustrating!

Just saw this old post LOL. I went to Ohana once and they brought me dessert and a check and I never had even got drinks or all of the meat choices. It was that bad. I was like…. Ummmm… can I have some pop? Some meat? No?
