Looking for some insight regarding evening EMHs at MK during the summer. I'm sure I've been to an evening EMH at MK at some point, but the last handful of trips for us have been with relatively young children, so we were never in the parks past 11pm or so. (Except New Year's Eve once, which was insane).
We have a trip next week, and we have MK scheduled twice. On the day of our arrival, we're going to head to MK in the evening and knock out 3 scheduled FP+, plus whatever else we can get done. One of the FP+ is for Wishes, so we'll have the fireworks out of the way. The second trip to MK will be on our last day at WDW, and on that day the EMH keep MK open until 2am.
My plan is to hit MK at rope drop (technically, at Crystal Palace at 8:05) and knock out as much as we can before our 1pm BOG lunch reservations. Then, escape the park for a big chunk of the day and return in the evening. My question is how crowd levels are likely to look from about 8pm to 2am on a Sunday (June 8). My goal is not to stress about anything in MK, on the assumption that we'll have no trouble riding anything we want after Wishes ends and EMH begins. Is this a reasonable assumption?
Also, while I'm at it, I guess I should go ahead and ask about morning reservations for breakfasts in the parks. We've never really done them, but this trip we have three (SW Bkfst at HS, Akershus at Epcot and CP at MK)--mainly because I don't want to line up with the mob at the front door. How important is it to make sure you're done with breakfast before the official park opening time? Say we wrap each breakfast up by ~9:15 and head out to the attractions... will it be significantly more crowded than if we inhale food, skip slow characters, and hit the door by 8:50 or 9:00?
Thanks for any input!
