LATE lunch or early dinner?

As Disney commando's on a lower budget I was wondering about the pro's and con's between a late (4ish) lunch instead of paying the higher dinner prices? We will be going the 3rd week in Sept and I thought that also might be a good time for a little A/C time. TS options only....sorry we are not CS. types and 90% of our food choices are in or around Epcot

Are the menus pretty much the same? Serving sizes close? Will they rush us or (gasp) kick us out if we loiter?

Eating a larger meal in the middle of the day, rather than the evening is usually a good idea because you'll have more time to work off the calories.

Most of the TS restaurants serve lunch until 3, then change over to the dinner menu at 4 so make sure you get the correct time for the lunch menu. The online reservation page lists the times for each meal.

Some restaurants have the same menu and prices all day long (e.g. Via Napoli, La Hacienda) so lunch at 4 won't be a problem.

I've never felt rushed at any of the TS restaurants, but at the same time I don't tend to linger after I'm done eating so I'm not sure what you mean when you say "if we loiter."

I'm not sure what time the TS restaurants change from lunch pricing to dinner pricing - I imagine it's probably 3:00 or so. You can call Disney Dining and find out for sure.

I don't eat a lot of TS meals, but from my memory, the menus can vary at some of the restaurants between what's offered at lunch and at dinner. The Le Cellier menu changes - I've ordered the shaved prime rib sandwich at lunch (so good!) but I don't think that sandwich is offered at dinner. But if memory serves, some of the menus stay pretty similar between lunch/dinner (I think Sci Fi Drive-In's offerings are virtually the same at lunch and dinner, though I'm not sure if the prices increase for dinner).

I'd suggest going on one of the web sites like allearsnet.com and checking out their menus. They have updated information about pricing and menu items offered for both lunch and dinner. That should help you decide.
