Late DisBus to port from AKL... Grrrr

Ok, I'm an obsesser and my current obsession is working the problem of a 12:30PM AKL bus-to-port pickup in May. That's WAY late for the fun of getting to the ship early and having time to eat lunch/get reservations for things I want to do....or swim/unpack/snoop around/etc. before the drill/liftoff party/dinner...That's a half a day wasted looking at my watch, waiting at a resort I've already spent a week at....Can I just leave my bags at the DCL desk at the AKL and have the bus-to-port pick them up with the other people in the same land/sea vacation group and take myself off to the airport early and catch the first Disbus-to-port out of the airport...9:30AM (?)...I've got an electric scooter, a service dog, bags and baggage and I don't think a town car/taxi/rental car is the answer. I'll be doing the resort-airport-bus-to port thing in December because I'll be at an off-site condo before the cruise and there's no Disbus pickup there. So I know it can be done...I'll just have to drag all my stuff with me instead of leaving it for pickup... This is madness...Isn't there a better way?

From what I'm to understand (and I could be mistaken), the luggage actually goes in a separate cargo van.

What about checking on other areas of property? I believe the Swan gets picked up at around 11:00. Not that much earlier, but every bit counts. Perhaps another resort has an earlier transfer time?
