Late Checkout

Does anyone know if you can request late check out at GC or DLH? If you can, what time is late check out? How often do they let you do it?

I don't think they allow late check out. But you can store your luggage with the bell captain. We usually check out and leave our bags before we head to the park one last time. Then return to collect our things and grab a cab back to the airport. Very easy

We did late check-out at DLH in October... not for free though, I paid $80 to check out at 3 instead of 11. You have to request it the morning you are supposed to leave, I called the night before and was told to check back in the morning--it all depended on how badly they needed the room.

It never hurts to ask, but just don't count on it being available. We've asked on each of our stays onsite and have been denied.

They have allowed us a later checkout on a few occassions at various of the DL hotels. It depends what the schedule is with the check-ins and housekeeping as to whether they can allow it and for how long. Our daughter was napping on one occassion and on another we were going to be at a meal and just preferred it. Just know that at the time of later checkout that they give you - you'd better be out or prepared to go to the front desk/bell for help because the keys automatically stop working.

We asked for late checkout during Christmas week at GC as my son had a fever and I wanted him to rest until our flight home. I explained the situation and the cast member was very nice. She put me on hold for about a minute and then asked me how long I need. I said till 12:30 pm and she said she could give me till 1 pm and then the card key would stop working. I thanked her. I was not charged anything extra.

I asked for late checkout at GCH and was allowed to stay until noon. I asked about staying until 1 and was told I would have to pay a half day fee, we checked out at 11. LOL
