Just wondering.... In october we have a late flight out, and it would be great to get a late check out... even for a fee.

Anyone know if BCV (or any DVC) offers late check out.... fee or not.

Thanks!

Not if you are staying on points. The only way would be to book with points that extra day or pay cash for it.

A while back Maistre Gracey reported that it was available at the VWL. It is only a couple of lines within a thread that he did on his trip. Read this link:

While it never hurts to ask, it's not technically available per writen rule.

In the past, we've sent our belongings downstairs to the bell desk (sans valuables), told them we'd want them back late in the day, and then either gone swimming--using the pool bathrooms for changing--or gone to one of the parks. It's worked out fine.

Not available unless you are willing to pay an extra day or use an extra day's points. We usually check out by the 11 am time and put our luggage in the trunk of the rental car and head for the parks. We bus back to OKW about an hour before we want to be at the airport. It has always worked well. One time we drove the car to one of the parks and used WDW transportation from there, but usually just leaving the car at OKW is easier. Your parking slip is good through that whole check out day.

I know there is a great temptation to get the most out of your stay, but over the years I've found that when I try this, I don't enjoy it. I spend that last day worried about making it to the airport on time and am too distracted to enjoy the activities.

When we go now, we always treat the day before checkout as our last park or Disney day. On checkout day it's time to travel, vacation's over. JMHO

I agree. We try to schedule the flight home for a departure between noon and 2 pm. Works well to have to leave for the airport around check out time. That last morning we sleep in a bit, leisurely pack up and maybe enjoy a late breakfast before check out.

Best wishes -

We always try to do the same. Leave with more than enough time to get to the airport, but I always just make it.
It tends to make for a long day.

Our normal mode is to have a flight that leaves around 2 or 3, but I couldnt find decent airfares this go around, without leaving later in the day....

It was the lure of 79 RT (nonstop) that got us in this pickle, and since we are buying tickets for 7 this trip, I couldnt resist!

If I could get a late check out, then life would be simpler. If I cant, no biggy, we are pros.... LOL

Thanks for the responces.

We usually try to get a convenient flight home but have a late one on Aug. 13. We plan to pack up and spend the day at the OKW pool. I will pack a small bag with change of clothes and toiletries............when it is time to head to the airport we will just change in the rest rooms near the pool!!!

I had a similiar situation last year, so got a day room at the Hilton, for $60 at the airport.

Worked out really nice. Checked out at 11, Limo picked us up, got to airport at 12, stayed at the Hilton, swam, slept, and watched TV.

Just an idea,

Goldi

Oh, the room had 2 doubles....
