Late Check in and discount dates

So I'm curious if anyone has ever checked in after midnight on the last day of a discount.

Here's the scenario, I have a PIN that expires on May 31st for Free Dining. My kids get out early on the 31st but the soonest we will get there would be 2 AM which is technically June 1st. Now this will be our second annual trip that we leave the last day of school. Normally we check in the morning of the next day but getting there late that night would actually work better for us anyway.

So my question is if I check in at say 2 AM does Disney still consider that a May 31st check in allowing me to book the 31st and use my PIN? In most hotels it would be treated that way and my check out date would still be considered at 11 AM (or whatever time) that morning. Does Disney treat it the same? Has anyone checked in after midnight on the day of their reservation before?

I could call Disney and ask but I always prefer actual experience doing it when possible. Thanks in advance!

When it comes to a room only discount rate I know that if you check-in the day before it's promotion will end then the next day you end up paying the rack rate, because that's what the WDW website showed me when I looked up a reservation like that.

However I have read that in the past with such promotions as Free Dining if someone checked in the last day it was being offered they would still get it for their whole trip. Although that was for the public offer because I am not sure that same rule applies to those with who got a PIN for Free Dining.

Yes, with free dining if your check in is the last day of the promotion you have it for the entire trip. I'm just not sure if 2 A.M. would be considered a May 31st or June 1st check in.

I would think it would have to be a May check in. Because a June 1st check in could not occur until 3pm-ish. As long as you paid for the night of May 31, I don't think they care what time you arrive. I'd call and check, but I think that is right.

Just FYI you can check in early in the morning. It says 3pm check-in, but that just means that your room may not be ready until then. You don't actually have to wait until then to check in. We always check in earlier in the day and either hit the parks or swim/relax at the resort.

OP: I believe I have read that 7am is the earliest you can check in because that's when they reset for the new day, so I would assume that 2am would still be considered the evening of the 31st. You should call the actual resort (not the WDW number because those CMs do not always give out accurate information) to confirm though.

If your arrival date is May 31st, and your package is paid in full, they will hold your room up until the computers change over between 6AM and 7AM on June 1st, so you are considered a late arrival and not a no show. I would have a note on your fully paid reservation that you are a late arrival.. We have arrived at 2AM when our plane was delayed and our room was ready for us, my nephews were exhausted so we just grabbed a bed and fell asleep. Our reservation was not cancelled because we were considered a late arrival and not a no show.

Can't you just do an online check in in the afternoon? Then technically, you're checked in on May 31st.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I called All Star Sports and they confirmed I have until 6:59 AM to check in. After that the computers roll over to the next day and you're considered a no show.
