I have a late breakfast reservation at MGM Hollywood Vine (11:15 am). I was unsure about making such a late ressie since they will be moving into lunch and I'm afraid we will get the 'left overs' (so to speak) of the breakfast. Can anyone give thoughts as to if this should be ok :confused3 or should I call back and change it to a lunch reservation? Thanks :thumbsup2

Keep it the same. From what I understand you will get the switchover to lunch while you are there, so you should get breakfast and then the lunch foods will be brought in. Sneaky huh?

I actually prefer the latest seating at a breakfast buffet that we can get. We always pick a park that has early entry. Go early then eat a late breakfast (eating like piggies) . That way it is more of a brunch and counts as our lunch! then the park is usually crowded so we go back to hotel for our swim/rest break or hop to another park. You usually get more character interaction, too, as it is not as crowded.

While we haven't eaten at H&V, we have had late dinner at 1900 PF several times and one of the things that most impressed me was that they continued to replenish the food even though there were only a few tables left in the restaurant. This was our experience 3 times (we like to eat late)

Also, last trip we had a late breakfast (PF) and ended up being one of only 3 groups left by the end of the meal. Again, food was replenished, and we weren't rushed out. In fact, it worked out well as DD7 got to spend extra time visiting with the characters who stayed out the entire time we were there. And, PF closes between breakfast and lunch. I actually prefer being late. We have an ADR for 11 a.m . for breakfast at 'Ohanas on our last day. Hope it works out was well as it did at PF. :goodvibes

We did H&V at 10:30. It was great. The restaurant was almost empty. DD6 must have gotten a good five minutes with each character. The food was still hot and fresh.

We got the MGM at opening -9am, got a FP for ToT, rode RnRC, got a FP for Indy Show, and then went to breakfast. The day worked out great and we weren't hungry again until late afternoon.

Is Hollywood and Vine doing character breakfasts again? It has always been one of our favorites and we were really disapointed when we read that it was not going to be having the character breakfasts anymore. We will be there in Nov. and I am starting to make ADR now and would really love to do H&V for breakfast again. If anyone has any info I would appreciate it!!!

Yes they are doing them again. I double checked w/the adr rep. and she said it WOULD be a character breakfast. HTH

Would that be too childish for adults and kids 11,16,17,19(the 3 older are boys)......also does any one know what the menu is(DS16 has to know:rolleyes: ) If the menu is like it used to be they won't care who is there:flower3:

Like karliebug, we love the late breakfast/brunch buffet on am Extra Magic Hours days. We can get in the rollercoasters before we are too stuffed for them!

Our next trip we'll try one 8am breakfast before a 9am park opening and see how it goes. We'll have to ride the coaster(s) later in the morning ;).

I would say yes.

The characters are Leo and Annie of the Little Einstein's and JoJo and Goliath from Jo Jo's Circus on Playhouse Disney. No Mickey/Goofy/Pluto etc. There is loud Playhouse Disney music playing at all times (Bear and the Big Blue House, Jo Jo's Circus, etc.) There are a couple of "hosts" that get the kids up dancing with the characters about every 10-15 minutes.

We LOVED it...but DS was 5 1/2 and we've been big Playhouse Disney fans for years. Food was great-we had a 10:30am ADR-food was very fresh and good. Menu was mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, pasties...standard breakfast buffet stuff.

Late ADR was nice b/c my son got tons of one on one with the characters, however, not many kids in the restaurant when it came time to go dance w/the characters...so my DS was a bit shy to participate when there was only one other kid who looked like a 2 year old dancing.
