So I closed on my resale purchase. Everything has been sent to Disney. There is 150 points in the current UY that have a banking deadline of July 31, 2011. My problem is that according to member services they wont be setting up my account # until August 1st 2011, one day past my deadline! I want to bank those points. The seller is not an option for banking them. So I call Ms and they tell me that they will be able to bank my points 1 or 2 days late. I told them thats great but I dont want to use my "once in a lifetime bank late forgiveness card", they say no, that this isnt my fault and they will do it for me, and it not effect my banking late opportunity. I was quite surprised.

So I called back again and went through everything all over again, and the CM told me that the above will not be happening. :confused3

Anyone have knowledge or experience on this?
 
Updating my own post:

DVC just emailed me and they jumped me to the front of the line the get my membership processed, and hence points banked. Problem solved!
 

Great job Disney. As a member, you will see that DVC is generally an exceptional company to work with. I hear stories all the time about how they are able to help members with issues, problems etc. Enjoy your membership. :banana::cool1:
 
My experience has been that if you are not a chronic complainer, but rather a member with a legitimate concern, they will definitely work with you - welcome aboard!!
 
I feel the same, as long as you are nice to them, they seem to try to bend over backwards to help you out. My parents (also members) forgot to bank their full years points and thought they were stuck. I called for them and explained the situation and DVC banked the points for them even though they had already used their "once in a lifetime" pass for late banking. People can and will complain but I have to say that DVC membership is the best thing I ever did for my family.
 
All of our experiences have always been good with them. They really take the philosophy that their customers are family. Welcome aboard and hope you enjoy being a member as much as we have!
