I go to WDW several times a year, but always in early May, mid Sept, Oct, Dec, or early January. I'm playing around with the idea of an Universal trip. It would be my first onsite trip. In fact, I went to Universal for the very first time this past May for a couple of days during my WDW trip (but stayed onsite at WDW). How bad would the last week of August be as far as heat and crowds? I hate the heat, but would like to spend five or six days really exploring Universal. I'd be there Sun-Fri (August 22-27 or August 29th-Sept 3rd), staying at RPR. I already have WDW trips booked for late Oct and early Dec, so August would be my only chance to do a week at Universal. Would 5 1/2 days be enough to really explore it? Which week would be better 8/22-8/27 or 8/29-9/3? I guess I'm trying to talk myself into a trip
, but am concerned about the heat and crowds. I've always sworn nothing could get me to Florida in the summer, but the World of Harry Potter is drawing me.
I work for the state so have plenty of vacation time and the prices don't seem too bad. I just need someone to talk me into or out of an August trip. lol
