I will need to rent a car from August 28th - September 4th. The best rate I have found is $263.93 for a full size car from Dollar.

Has anyone found any deals or discounts for this time period?

If you want a minivan I found a rate of $302 with taxes and you get $30 at time of return thru Budget as long as it is returned in good condition. BCD code X474200 and MUGZ029 coupon. Try www.carrentalsavers.com too.

I have a rental from Dollar for 8/18 - 8/28 for a mid size car. I first used some codes from BJ's etc. Then tried NO CODE and up popped a city special at the airport . Mid size $119.54 per wwek / Base rate $176.27 + all fees and taxes = $253.51

The BCD X474200 is a public travelocity code for discount minivan rates and the MUGZ is just a general coupon for $30 off whatever rental you pick I belive. I found them from a fellow poster on the boards.

So I used the City special to reserve a Midsize car from August 28th - September 4th:

AS far as I know a coupon cannot be used with the city special ????
I tried a coupon online and was rejected!

Dang! I just came up with $137.77 for a full size 9 day rental (8/27-9/5), which does me no good because I did Priceline months ago when the rates were crazy high. Back then, I thought $180.97 price I got (with Hertz) was a great deal.... :-( I just didn't feel like I could count on rates going down below my Priceline bid.

I've had reports from clients that both Alamo and National in MCO ask for a copy of any coupons when you take the car. Just an FYI if you use a code make sure you have a printed coupon if they ask. May not happen all the time or at every airport, but several flying to MCO have said they were asked for it.
