Late arrival/one night stay. Makes Sense?

Has anyone else done this, or do you think it is better to stay offsite?

We are arriving around 10:00pm and need a one night stay at a hotel. I was thinking of booking at a WDW hotel if they have the special rates and just staying at the pool area the next day until it is time to leave for our timeshare. Does this make sense?

We don't want to hit the parks on the first day. I am also wondering if it is better to stay offsite that first night with a priceline hotel and go to The Kennedy Space Center the following day. We can't check into the timeshare until 4:00pm... Any ideas?

I wouldn't spend a fortune for one night & not get there till 10pm. Yes, you will be able to use the pool the entire next day, but you would have to be out of the room by 11am. I would go with your other idea ..... just my 2 cents.....

Stay off-site then go to DTD the next day until your check-in time. I wouldn't want to drive that far to Kennedy Space Center unless this is some where you have always wanted to visit.

I would go off-site also. Try the Fairfield in the Marriott Village or Hampton Inn Maingate West. I have heard bad things about some off-site hotels but we liked that Hampton and the Fairfield is very new & I have only ever had one problem in all my years at Fairfields.

Poohbear2, you didn't state with or without kids. I believe Priceline will only guarantee you a room with one bed. Doesn't mean you won't get two, but the potential is there.

The fairfield in the marriott village is good i got a room on a saturday night for 80 bucks back in October, had two beds and a refrigerator. Our room was on the top floor and we could even see some of the fireworks from our window which was very cool!!
