Can anyone help me uncomplicated this mess?

We just had to change our flight to a later time arriving 11pm. We are staying just that one night at ASSp before switching over to CBR and will pack accordingly. We won't need any of our checked luggage until the next day at CBR.

1. Is there a way we can avoid collecting our luggage ourselves even though we are arriving so late?

2. Is there a way to leave our checked luggage with Bell Services at ASSP overnight since we'll be transferring it all over to CBR the next day anyway?

3. Is there any way we can have our checked luggage delivered right to CBR? (arriving on 20th but checking into CBR on 21st)?

3. In either case, what is the best way to tag (or not tag) our luggage?

Anything I'm not thinking of?

1. No, You have to collect your luggage yourself after 10 PM
2. I don't believe luggage assistance will be staffed that late at night at a value resort> If I am wrong I hope someone will chime in.
3. No, you need to pick up your own baggage after 10 PM the day (evening) you arrive. If you don't it will be circulating on the luggage belt over and over

Maybe another alternative: Since you're arriving so late anyway, would it be easier to just spend the first night in an airport hotel, then MDE it over to WDW the next morning? (You could just pick a dummy AM flight and take your luggage yourself to the bus)

1 = No Sorry

2 = No but just pack an overnight bag and keep your bags w you in the room at ASSP unopened if you really don't need anything.

3 = In the morning bring the bags back to bell services at ASSP and they will transfer them to CBR for you. Hit the parks and then retrieve your bags at CBR after you check in. Note you will have to get them back from bell services they won't be "magically delivered" to your room.

4 = Don't tag your bags as there is no service after 10 pm and they will hit the belt anyway.

Alternately I have read that if you stay at the Hyatt at the airport you can have your bags transferred via DME the next day and then ride the DME bus. You would still have to pick them up when you land and then bring them back the next morning. I haven't done this myself but I have had my bags transferred via Disney as I described above a few times and it went well.

If you arrive after 10:00 p.m your luggage will be picked up and delivered the next day to the *** resort. You can call down to bell services in the morning and ask them to transfer your luggage to CBR. It usually takes a few hours for your luggage to be trans. to another resort.

Is this new? This information is contrary to the advice usually given, as well as what is posted on the Magical Express page.

If you arrive before 5:00 AM or after 10:00 PM, please collect your luggage at baggage claim and bring it with you onto the motorcoach

If you tag your bags, with DME tags, it's my understanding that those tagged bags will not be grabbed and held apart, but will go to baggage claim with the other luggage. When it's not claimed, it's put aside and then DME workers get them the next morning. That may, or may not, be the current process.

There is no way around it.....your ride on the DME bus. And subsequent luggage handling, is tied to the resort you are arriving at..per your reservation. My suggestion? Leave the tags off your checked bags, go to baggage claim and get them upon arrival. Leave them packed for the night. Get up the next morning and take a cab to CBR and get checked in. If you allow All Stars to move your bags, it will take until late afternoon/early evening before you get them.

Thank you, I didn't want the OP to misunderstand the standard procedure.

After doing just this, I vote for staying at the airport hotel a night and taking DME right to Cb.
It's a long travel day and a lot of transfer. Get in and have a great night sleep heading to the resort early the next morning with everything going where it should.

You will be glad for that rest and avoiding the mass confusion,
